Re: Northlight Tool (also known as "The Alan Wake Engine")

That's so Neat! What do you think about the animations? @daemon1 says its basically impossible or rather improbable. But what do you think? Can it be done and be done in a reasonable timetable? I have no plans to attempt animations. If I get skinned models with skeletons done I'll consider myself l...

Re: Northlight Tool (also known as "The Alan Wake Engine")

I have very simple model import working now. here's a couple of examples: https://i.imgur.com/glf1JyF.png https://i.imgur.com/dq9Kxat.png I noticed they bragged about using simplygon in the opening credits, I have to say these are some of the worst looking LOD models I've ever seen. But that's fine ...

Re: [PC] Quantum Break .RMDP

Control model import is discussed here: https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?p=155960#p155960 Importer will be for blender 2.70 thru 2.79 like all my importers. After it's done i'll look at maybe making a version for blender 2.80. but plugin conversion is a nightmare, I've successfully converted o...

Re: Northlight Tool (also known as "The Alan Wake Engine")

Ok, I'm making some progress on a model importer. I have the file format nearly fully mapped out. It's quite a bit different from Quantum break, in fact I'd say it's completely different. There's pointers at the start to 3 major blocks of data, and then past that a parameter block with all the infor...

Re: Northlight Tool (also known as "The Alan Wake Engine")

are you gonna make changes to your blender script to support control? I spent a day trying to amend the code to support the new binfbx and i just couldn't understand the model format. looking at the QB format, it was obvious, each block had the MO signature. but for Control its like gibberish. Mayb...

Re: Blender NinjaRipper Addon

Use Ninja Ripper to import them to 3DS Max, then export them to a format usable by Blender. But why use 2 pieces of software if you can use just 1? Plus many people don't have 3DS Max, myself for example, I don't use, or like the software, I use Maya instead, but others use Blender instead. Don't k...

Re: Wolfenstein .Pages files (idtech5 virtualtextures)

Hi all! Sorry for necro, but I need help with vtex program. I disabled the ASLR, like was said in thread, but I'm afraid, that I misunderstand the part with "reloaded exe". I downloaded the "reloaded exe", replaced the original one in the game directory, put there vtex and tried...

Probably, the last update changed the data format.

Re: [PC] Shadow of the Tomb Raider Bigfile.000.tiger

Be careful of this newest Patch that just came out a few minutes ago, Patch #7: "Restructuring of game-data to reduce disc space usage and to allow for a smaller download size for new players. This does make the patch download for this specific patch a bit larger than usual." I'm betting t...

Re: [PC] Shadow of the Tomb Raider Bigfile.000.tiger

Not an issue with the script, this is just how the models are rigged. Yeah, as someone who's rigged a lot of models and seen a lot of rigged models, it's pretty clear it's just some sloppy weighting work. You'd be surprised how bad AAA studios can be with weighting, especially when crunch time hits...

Re: Hitman 2016 textures

I made the changes in hitman.h https://i.imgur.com/YFDGOoF.png And it already works on one of the sample files: https://i.imgur.com/jZs6SO4.png The pattern seems too unique to be a mistake but then again, i don't know. It coudl be a bad decode, or simply a noise texture. The other 3 it skipped over ...
