Re: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. How i find texts?
A way to create a "patch" archive file would make all this actually useful yes....... hex editing a 20GB+ file and creating a xdelta patch is hardly a good way of modding a game......

Re: BIGFILE.000 - Deus Ex Human Revolution Unpack
Did anyone get translatr to work with the DC? I can only manage to crash it. Hex editing dialogue might work but it rather limits sentence length.

Re: XeNTaX 25th Anniversary!
Tried with my one email address, timed out halfway through the download and link stopped working. Tried with my other email address, got to 99% timed out at the link does not work anymore. This is ridiculous, should I now try with a third address? EDIT: tried third address, figured it out, first tim...

Re: Arma 2
Ok...I should know better than to post when I'm so tired. I finally figured out the modfolder/pbo/whatever and I can get the subtitles in. My problem now though is the dubbing.pbo, my partial 6.47MB pbo. If I start the game up with it in the mod folder the game complains about missing folders. Is th...

Arma 2
With Operation Flashpoint and Arma it was easy. Just extract the campaign pbo and move it to a backup folder, then edit willy nilly. With Arma 2 they changed things significantly. Now I have everything done, the subtitles/lipsync/ogg/everything. But the old method refuses to work, probably because o...

Re: Half-Life 2
Ok I figured it out mostly, the particular emulator/loader I was using was to blaim (I have a strong aversion to using stream so I only load it if I have no other choice, sorry should have mentioned that). I switched emulators and suddenly the new sounds work. Now my problem is just getting the game...

Re: Half-Life 2
Did another few tests, switched a few of the pistol sounds for crowbar ones, no change ingame. Got the sdk and loaded up hammer and used it's browser, gamesounds shows nothing (do not know if that is relavent) and switching to raw everything shows and the changed sounds play correctly. In short ever...

Re: Half-Life 2
Have changed and compiled the closecaptions txt. Yes, I do have the new dat file, no matter where I put it though the subtitles (ingame) refuse to change, same thing for the wav's. To test if anything is working (changing) I garbled a bit of the subtitles at the beginning of the game and renamed a ...

Half-Life 2
Started off with this http://www.moddb.com/games/half-life-2/ ... ound-files
Have changed and compiled the closecaptions txt.
No matter what I do I simply cannot get the game to use the new files. Am I missing something?

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops - How to translate?
Can't seem to find the wav's for the strings in "en_code_post_gfx.ff". So can get to everything except the loading screens... anyone have a clue where the wav's are hiding?

I seem to have a handle on everything but the graphic novel is giving a odd problem. The dds pages I can do anything with and it shows correctly but as soon as I do anything to the audio it neither the modified page nor the original shows.

Re: Saints Row: The Third Translation {PC}
Had a go at trying to manually edit the dmav files but.....loading almost 2000 files into a hex editor makes it crash. Unless someone whips up dialogue editor i don't see how changes across the board can happen feasibly. But dammit, if they seriously want to make it this hard to mod i say screw them...
