Re: Part Decrypted Demo! Struggling with file permissions and unpacking for FH4!
I'm in the same boat... I just want to be able to extract archives at this stage. I own the game, but i didn't want to screw around with permissions etc because I actually play it as well :] What I've been able to do is use R-Studio to copy a few archives from the install directory successfully to a...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
It works smoothly, and i have a nice obj without the regular hood (whatever the LOD) and without error in Blender, but, wich is strange, is that if i use MakeH20-J5 on the modelbin.text generated by the dir_modelbin in the exterior/hood folder alone, i got the nice regular hood i need. Seems the er...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
but there are some cars that simply don't want to be converted, as for example the AMC Rebel "the machine", which make every H20 version crashing, and lead to an incomplete obj. Does anybody here havec some insight wether its coming from the original modelbin and its extraction or from th...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Just in case it's of any use to someone - I did a comparison of UV mapping as produced by MakeH20. This is the SLOD parts from Lambo Cenentario. In game it has a carbon fibre material. This is produced by a tiled normal map across the body. The map is mirror-imaged down the center of the body (via f...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
The tool release is pointless IMO, because requires large library of game files to work (22GB collection) so I'm not sure how this tool can come handy.[roll] It would be handy for us who do have the complete files :] . Could this tool, instead of actually collecting textures, just make a text list?...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
A lot of textures are tiled and tiling info is contained in the material settings.minime891 wrote: I have come across a UV that doesn't seem to be restricted to the UV box. The trunkBay_a__SLOD for the Range Rover SVR.
Has any one else seen this with SLOD parts?

Re: The Crew fat/dat archives
... the newest FileNames.list is outdated now, I have a question: where do the filenames come from and is there a possibility to update them by yourself easily? The file itself is plain text, but I honestly have no idea where the file names come from. You can get new names from game memory and add ...

Comment these two lines in noepyCheckType #mat = open("G:\Tombraider\jonah_mp\Material\Section 3335.cdrm", 'rb').read() #bsx = NoeBitStream(mat) you can see the model but I don't know how to assign textures. Thanks, that got it. :) I managed to manually assign textures in 3DSMax so normal...

Sorry to bother you guys :) I've been trying to extract mesh. All is well up until Noesis. I dropped the python script into the directory, but getting errors from this line: File "D:\Tomb Raider rip\tools\noesisv4081\plugins\python\fmt_tombraider_mesh.py", line 25, in noepyCheckType mat = ...

Re: Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012 (.BNDL)
I'm definitely interested. The way I see it, if NFSHPExplorer can open and 'hack' at the files, then perhaps all is needed is a little change or two in the source code? I'm new to this extracting thing as far as coding goes, but have got pretty good at ripping and converting

There doesn't seem to be much looking at this from the pros, so I guess it's up to us noobs :ninja: I've just been looking at dngvehicles.sp. These are my noobish observations using a hex editor: -It's not encrypted (?) -The end of file has filenames and directories eg R:\Resources\Vehicles\Vehicles...

Script working fine here. Everyone you just gotta make sure you choose the right folder to import.
I suspect those empty meshes are deformers for damage etc.D1Racer wrote:Works well for me, on Max 2011 x64 bit. Only issue is some parts appear doubled but with no mesh. Anyway no biggy at all.
