Thanks for taking the time and looking into this. It seems like you've fixed a few simple mistakes of mine (flipping xy offsets and some other stupid things :scaredy: ), cleaned up certain sections, and messed up others . I'm still pretty busy with other things at the moment but looks like the majority of the .carbin file format has been figured out now. Glad to have you on board :)

Works like a charm now thanks. Great that you joined in on the fun with Ernegien with this .carbin format.

Edit:

Here is a great example of the strange normals issue? I think it was.

Watch one or two Sites back - you have to change a little bit in the source code ;)

Or replace all , with . in the obj File ;)

Edit: Here is the recompiled Version: http://ul.to/dyiqsp

I'll die of happiness when that happens. 8D

Nice render, is that one of the LOD models? or just the LOD1 model? Either way that looks epic, I need to learn how to render like that.

Hehe not my best Render (isn't finished needs everywhere tweaking) and it's the lod0 Mesh ;)

If someone Interested, Polys of this Aston Martin:

(With 4 Wheels, Cockpit = Complete Model which could be used in other Models)

Lod0: 172753 Polys (Only 1 Wheel = some Polys more hehe)
Lod1: 45074 Polys
Lod2: 21802 Polys
Lod3: 13134 Polys
Lod4: 6360 Polys
Lod5: 2556 Polys

Level of Detail.

Lod0 = Most Details, Lod5 = least details

It's used to get a stable framerate by nearly every Game ;)

Cars which are far away using the lod5 Model with only 2000 Polys. Nearest Cars are using a better Model

Oh woops my mistake that's what I meant LOD0. :keke: LOD1 body's poly count would be a excellent, would mix with games that do not support interior view NFS:Most Wanted as a example.

Edit: Just noticed the LOD1 interior fits the LOD0 model, so if anyone who ever wanted a high poly model but not a good interior then you can always use LOD1's interior. :)

@ram202 No idea what you mean.

mas_granturismo_08.carbin for Example includes lod1 to lod5, mas_granturismo_08_lod0.carbin + mas_granturismo_08_cockpit.carbin lod0

Please do not make such requests in this thread as I and many others are only going to ignore them. This topic is about the research, not taking requests and ripping models for everyone...
