daemon, do you have a discord? there's something up with the maps exe that causes it to assign a missing texture to a mesh instead of the actual texture. this only happens with specific sub-meshes in certain maps, and it is quite annoying to try and search for the right texture. thanks in advance!

I've read that cutscene animations are chunked and are unsupported. What does chunked mean?

Is there any way around this? The cutscene animations are excellent obviously.

can the last of us part 2 tools work on the new The Last of us part 1 game? i would figure yes since from my understanding part 1 is a literal remake using part 2's technology and thus the tools for part 2 would work on part 1. not well versed in toolmaking and such though so i would not know.

Hi, is the script not working anymore? i can extract the pak files for the models as smd but i can't extract the skel and anim pak files. i put the ellie-skel.pak file and tlou2 in an empty folder and run cmd in this folder and give the command "tlou2 ellie-skel.pak /r but nothing happens. how can i extract the animation smd files. Thank you in advance

Yeah the tools won't work on Part 1. They have to be rewritten. Not sure if daemon is planning on working on this or not.

It depends on which importer you use. if you are using the secascii importer then u need to preserve the export hierarchy, other importers usually expect the textures to be put right next to the model in a folder.

Usually, I only read it and I can figure it out by myself.
I only wanted to know where to find the importer he was using.
But thanks I will try to look it up.

Got the theater but wanted to try his method. sounds a lot better than how I do it.

*my bad. I forgot the secascii script was included in the zip. Thought it was just the .exe's.
