Yeah, that's what they're designed for, but I have no idea how the game engine determines that they are LOD models at all, or at what distance they should be shown. That's the bizarre thing I'm trying to work out. I think what it might be is that hitboxes toggle on and off certain parts, at which point it's super difficult to filter out "only the high-poly models"
