Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
And DLC Tool with Raidou.
Other than that, I can't find any discussion in usual places (2ch, jbbs, 2chan), except dead DOAX2 analysis thread.
Sometimes someone posts mod pics in may.2chan's DOA threads. Also, there is this thread: http://jun.2chan.net/b/res/20175987.htmRosalin wrote:I think I saw penguin's work on 2chan.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Heard that the PC version is going to be "inferior" to PS4 version in terms of graphics.
Also the new stages have been cut out.
http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/mar/ ... ngine-etc/
"Somewhere between ps3 and ps4" in terms of graphics. (there was a difference to start with?????????? )
and no online till 3 months later, what fighting game doesn't have online these days?? as if I'm going to ask my buddies to come play doa in front of my pc with all my mods enabled LOL

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Nah the graphics are going to be a lot better.
There will be AA, and 4K support so we can expect something great in that point.
Unfortunately, the optimisation look quite bad by looking at the configuration required.
The main deception are the following :
-No new stages
-No soft engine
-No online at launch (after 1 month delay ? the hell ?)
-No particules effect
That's why you hear "between PS3 and PS4", but at least the graphics are going to be a lot better. Maybe we can also hope for better stages textures.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
I think it's more like PS3 version.
Things those can be supported by better hardware are only changed, something like screen resolution, AA, shadow resolution... only except hairs.
now there're still things unknown. SSS on the skin and Senran Kagura costume destruction gimmicks on PC version are not informed yet.

They're saying on twitter that it's based on the arcade build- https://twitter.com/TeamNINJAStudio/sta ... 2941991936Rosalin wrote:I think it's more like PS3 version.

That version runs on the Sega Ring Edge 2... which is an old Nividia GPU, 2 gigs of ram, and an old intel i3 running on Windows 7. Explains why the game is using direct x 9.

I can guess they are 'destroying' costume parts by applying hidden alpha channel to the clothing.
with some effect when hit.
And I can also guess that gimmick will not be added to PC version.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Tecmo dlc usually pretty self contained, doubt the "clothes break" is a core game feature so may work on PC if converted somehow.
Kinda wish soul calibur IV was sorta like soul calibur V and V was more like IV they could both also be more like soul calibur III.

@lsc
But you know, it doesn't work on 360/PS3 version.
So I don't expect them on PC.
At best we might be able to get those alpha maps for torn clothing expressions.
But at least, we can get some of new hairs for some characters and I would love it.
