OMG. Yeah I totally forgot to check the right click. What an idiot eh? *smacks forehead* Sorry about that Turfster. Thanks for the update, and thanks Lionheart for making me look like an idiot - I mean helping. XD. Nah really, thanks for pointing it out. But I do want to mention here..... Also pleas...

Thanks Turfster! Well, I can't seem to get the preview feature working. How do I use it exactly? It isn't doing anything for me. Like, if I open up a .qar file to see some XTI texture choices, viewer doesn't do anything there. And if I open an XTI texture, that would mean I'm already converting the ...

Well, thanks for your suggestion. I found out that the T pose is not really recommended and not necessary. I think before I worry about binding, FIRST of all, I am recreating the model. The models are low poly in this game, and for the most part they look great (new textures will help the MOST I kno...

I don't know..... If you want to use the models for something, you should go and buy a copy of the PC game. Its only like $5 online these days I think. And you don't have to worry about making it for other games, because I am working on Snake, working on his textures and everything anyway. I might p...

Liquid - I wasn't trying to be SPECIFIC and display spoilers for anybody, haha! Yes ofcourse thats what I meant. What kind of a fan do you think I am? :P You found Olga of the plant and Ocelot? Hmmm.... I keep looking and looking to no avail! You are looking through the D folders right? I guess I mi...

Yeah. Study real humans bone movements. But the muscles and how they derform is the hardest thing! I may very well need somebody with Maya to put Snake into the T binding pose for me because I try to do it with his arms hanging down, but its very difficult and his shoulder muscles get screwed up. he...

Thanks for that patch. I'll try it. Well I checked again for some more models and we aren't just talking a lack of hands here or something. I can't find Ocelot, Liquid/Ocelot, Olga from the plant, but I DO see them there as .EVX. So yeah, that will be great whenever you get around to it when you fee...

Oh YAY! I really wanted the voice work too! :D I don't have a need for it right NOW, but I can say, PSound has very limited ability to extract from MGS3 - MOST if not ALL files need fixing first, alot are even cut off, and some stuff I have been able to just record from my video capture card, ...

Uh, the textures include alpha yes (standard 32 bit RGBA, after all). It would surprise me if Maya didn't support textures with transparency out of the box, but then I've never used it. Maybe you have to explicitly set the fact that it's a transparent texture somewhere in the texture options? I gue...

Well actually, you really want to have a joint for the bending of the toes or else the feet always will look flat and phoney. I've learned some interesting things about modelling lately, and because Solidus doesn't extract the bone information for the characters, if they have bones, I went ba...

Hehe, TDI, you do seem a little obsessed with that old man Solid Snake ;) Hah! Indeed...... But lovin' every minute of it. Ahh, is this the fate of lonely girl gamers? But make no mistake, I'm not into OLD MAN Snake (MGS4). You don't want to even get me STARTED.... :woah: :vomit: :argue: ...

Re: Metal gear SOlid 3 Snake Eater.
I am not going to post a PART file JUST YET as I would rather know if anyone has any interest in this game whatsoever. YES!!! :P I have a huge huge interest to get the character models, textures, and voice work from this game. And animations, if possible. But that doesn't mean I have any knowledge ...

Welcome back Turfster! Thanks for the update! :) I have a question maybe you can answer for me.... I think I've figured out why I haven't been able to display the transparency textures properly in Maya (such as Snake's hair). Sure part of it has to do with Maya what I can't understand, but part of i...

Ok! I solved one problem, though I am still working through more. Maya users! What happened for me in Maya 5 is this: The textures wouldn't show up on models, because for some reason the program saw the textures with a period in front of their name. For instance .002375696.tga (or whatever), but its...
