I have a maxscript for geometry import only (characters, npc, enemies, weapons), bones might work only for characters, had no luck finishing it for the moment! I have plans later on, or more like I have a will for this - but not the strength aha ha ha

I noticed the maxscript is not applying the vertex normals, any chance to see a upgrade for this? Its mostly noticeable in Faces. Yup, but I guess most of ppl using Blender tool, right? I still haven't had much reports on skinned meshes from friend of mine, except one, I fixed maxscript for rigged ...

Armors and weapons/shields are fine, diffuse maps I mean. Only skin, bare skin parts are bad - sadly :) Btw, I don't know how exactly this tool extracting files, so anyone who want to try alternative method, you could use this bms script to extract all files from .forge. They will be grouped by type...

They are like that, there's no diffuse maps in common meaning (for human skin, or I think for any material with subsurface scattering). That's why this game sucks xD (IMHO)

I think, it all depends on the extractor you used lol maybe you will have different extension. In that case you will have to rename it, or tell me the extensions you have, so I could just edit few lines and you are good to go xD There's a tool on zenhax, which have names, at least part of them. Here's "alpha" maxscript and Noesis plugin for RE2 R, if anyone want to test it out. Skinned meshes should work, static partially xD Don't have a lot of samples. It's for those of you who prefer using 3ds max instead of something else :)
