Weird texture format found on Resident Evil (PSX)

Hey there, I've tried to open this stuff with various TIM and RAW viewers, but they can't open this file. Can you guys find out how to decode it? If you ask me, it could be one of the two formats mentioned before, but encrypted or compressed or whatever.

You see, maybe they are execs, but it's all the files there are in the game. All prx, of similar namings. The loading.prx has the textures for the loading screen as it looks, there are more stuff there, but the big one is a data.prx, 700MB of file. That's why I'm asking about these file formats.

Thanks for the info, but that doesn't tell me how to extract/insert files.

But at least now I know that I have to find again a PS2/PSP Tim2 Reader, for the texture part. (I wanna translate the game)

I haven't done a backup of the Document, but I guess that the size is indicated before doing the backup.

Sorry for the delay. You need to make a ISO image (ISO format exactly), then find a program called Apache 2, with it you should open the iso and look for an option to get the Layer2. With it you can make another iso of the layer2, then you can extract the files. BTW you should know that the disk is ...

Is the mysterious texture some sort of pink/ grayscale with other colours? That are reflection maps/bump maps. Since the GC is better in graphics than PS2, there should be more layers of textures for details like that.
