Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
From what small research i did into the file format. apex and horizon 3 are the same. Carbin contains the material data, modelbin of course contains the model and uv's. I dont know much about reversing 3d but from the looks of it, it may also have a few different lod's in it. It also doesn't have si...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
I'm being told a "debug" version of FH3 PC was accidentally pushed in a patch a few days ago. This has all files decrypted, if anyone has it you might want to post it or file samples. I'm interested in taking a look at the 3D models. Oh, and if there are more violations of forum rules, th...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
I just extracted them as a normal zip file which worked. Then renamed them with advanced renamer. http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/689e/mlrldol4pe7vnrbzg.jpg Hmm weird, what program do you use? Everything I try just errors. You can extract this zip fine? https://www.dropbox.com/s/rkwb2ufnzys54ih/id...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
FYI I've started working on this yesterday. The format has indeed changed greatly, but it is very much "doable". I plan to release a converter/viewer once I put all the pieces together. I'll post more details and source code once I have something more than a rough AMG GT bumper test: http...

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Forza 6 apex uses new format, modelbin. Quick look through and it's a lot different than the previous carbin format. The carbin file itself is still there though appears to just be used as the file that connects all models together.

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Anybody still messing with the carbin format?
I've contacted Ernegien about the possibility of importing a obj file back into the carbin which he said quite possible just no time for it.
Anyone else have the ability to do so? I'd gladly throw a couple hundred bucks your way.
