Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Your version is to import the 360 models ? Because I'm trying to import the PC models with the plugin syasukey just dropped here. And that version doesn't allow this plugin nor does it let me import PC models. I just realized i'm having the same problem protocol X27 has, so if he figured out a way t...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

For some reason every time I try to use a plugin on Blender, I end up having trouble making it run.
The plugin doesn't work here, I extracted it in scripts/addon as the readme said.

It doesn't import anything when I select a .tmc to import.

How did you manage to make it work?

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

I have this .py script. :)
Still if I follow right, you woud have to export an edited tmc file to check the vertices on?

If it was this simple, how come we don't see more mesh edit mods yet?

This is the idea, I also want to see the rigging itself.
Do you have this maxscript?

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

I'd like to help more, but like stated the information is loose and scattered everywhere making it hard to follow up, I respect the work you've done so far and how accessible you made it. Just now I started learning a bit of reverse engineering, I have no coding experience whatsoever, all I have are...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Thanks, sounds useful.
How do I run it exactly? I tried with python but it doesn't work, same with noesis.

As for chara_common, I have no problem opening it with archivarius 1.8.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

What are -TMCL and -C files for? I know TMC contains 3D data and -P is just the picture. I'm trying to hex edit some files here, but it would help a lot if I could compare a file that I modified in 3Dsmax and the original one. of course they have to be both TMC files, mariokart64n posted a script be...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

If you mean the default costumes then all you need to do is use archivarius script and extract from chara_common.bin in your game's folder.
remember that this file doesn't have the -P files, use any -P you want from another dlc costume

Is it really why we are here for?
From my experience it definitely is possible to make this hack happen

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

That would mean they actually tried to implement soft engine.
I don't think the game as it is now can put SSS to use with efficiency anyway.

Call it window dressing.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

@Vashey More than that we need to kill the checksum first to get into game.exe. As Ros mentioned, until the check sum is resolved, using DLC containers is the only approach. It means creating a DLC 'shell' and placing costumes into it. They can be any type of costume they will just show up in their...

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

I'll ask again, don't mean to bother I'm trying to follow up the development.
I've read archivarius script, are you planning to import models through dlc files? is this the idea?

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Hey, I'm at loss there. :D
I don't follow, what are we using archivarius script for if it doesn't support PC, and why are you still looking into 360 TMC files?

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools

Pay no attenntion to him, he just shows up to show off what he can do only to never share anything. Oh ok, I thought I would dig in a script to see how it's done so far. I'm looking into exporting my own models in the game, I've always been wondering how you would get the hair physics right in the ...
