I hope that Solidus supports MGS2 PS2 in future.

i dont see why its so important to Support the PS2 version of MGS2 when it already does the PC version of Substance.
There is no difference.
if anything you could have at least asked for "The Document of MGS2" to be supported as THAT would be a cool feature considering its got rex along with early models and stuff on it, Not to mention UNUSED backgrounds and the HIGH RES Heliport from MGS1.
I swear you have the PC version anyways man?

Why not just do that with the PC version?

What im trying to explain is that the PC verion is upported so havign the PS2 version of the SAME GAME is very unlikely to happen, MAINLY because chipping the PS2 is illegal and I doubt Turfster will want to help support this.
OF course your free to email him and ask i guess.

IT SEEMS asthough there is a new versoin of Solidus avaliable.
So far ive done everyting normal with it and i FOR THE LIFE OF ME cant figure out whats new in this version, can SOMEONE please enlighten me as to whats new?

btw: turfsters site ses thats its version C but its actually D, guess he forgot to update the site.

That version is a month old (see the build stamp, 06/10/06 3:40), it's the last build I did before I went on vacation ;)
Before you ask, no, I can't really remember what's new in it, probably just some code optimizations and finalisation of the GC texture types, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, I'll probably go start coding again next week somewhere.

Dude, i made little progress with any fiels for you, sorry bout that man.
Before you left did u get a chance to lok into the MGS3 iels that i sent you at all?.

You can decrease with this, the exe size.

But delphi and all the programmign languages allready compress(and normally encrypt) there exe files anyways.
Have you used this on a file before and its made a difference?

Not all. The uncompressed prog.files can edited with ResourceHacker, Exescope..., but the compressed not. (The libvorbis.dll is compressed)

I try out this tool with some .exe/.dll files, and work fine.
Normal Solidus size: ~800k
New/compressed size: ~300k
(script: upx.exe -9 solidus.exe)

Ok, I know, the 800k is not too big, but if the Solidus size in the future is bigger, than maybe usefull the UPX.

Actually I don't know of any programming language that does this by itself.
Usually these steps have to be added manually so they're executed after the Exe has been compiled.

For a commercial tool I made, with UPX, the Exe size was reduced from 2 MB to about 500kB.

Maybe its because every program i make tends to do something little anyways, so it desnt take up much room.
Graphics and shit are waht normally make large EXE fiesl i tihnk right?

could someone send me an older version of solidus the 1.8d exports the textures wrong
