Yeah, I have discovered a console (PS3|X360) encryption a while ago. I'll post a tool as soon as I fix my website's domain.

This mean, maybe you can decrypt MGS4 files too (one day)?

No someone editing tools for Ground Zeroes won't mean you can edit MGS4 stuff, its a different game.

But there is a topic about model and texture ripping from MGS4, not inserting anything back into the game, just ripping stuff, theres a tool and everything, its all really good stuff, check it out if you didn't before.

On the topic of GZ though, are we now able to replace non character models with custom models? I've seen people replacing snake, Kaz, Paz or soldiers, but I'm more interested in replacing things like the Jeeps or Trucks, or, idealy, a building, but I imagine thats not going to happen.

I'm asking it, because somebody wrote here that MGS4 and MGS5 use the same encryption method. I don't know if it's true or not, but I don't know anybody else, how can confirm it.

But I'll check that topic, thanks.

I can pretty much decrypt most of the MGS4 stuff already. And encryption methods for MGS4 and MGS5 are different.

Also found a problem with texture repacker.. Once you repack fonts, just pure repack without any modifications this will happend :( Can anyone please help ??

@Atvaark - can you please have a look on that texture problem ?? you can find it in data_01\Assets\tpp\ui\Font\Font_RodinProN_DB_def_alp.ftex, in game it is first cinematics with subtitiles. I think, mipmaps in fonts textures are wrong...

Hi!

It means you will be publish a MGS4 tool maybe? I want to translate all MGS game, almost all solved, just MGS4 encryption is mystery for me. If I can help you to finish the tool with samples, testing, anything, let me know.

Thank you!

If you explore the files, you can find something, like the texts, without external tools.
