Xbox 360 Yukes Games 3DS Max Model Importer Plugin

Post by brienj »

[3DS Max XHP Yukes Model Import plug-in v0.97]
==========================================================================
(c)2013 Brien L. Johnson ([email protected]) http:///www.xhpcreations.com

Special thanks to chrrox for help on the model format

[Info]
======

This plug-in allows you to import Xbox 360 Yukes format model files in to 3DS Max.

[Supported versions]
====================

3DS Max 9 - 32/64bit (untested)
3DS Max 2010 - 32/64bit
3DS Max 2011 - 32/64bit

[Features]
==========

* All vertices, normals, and vertex colors imported
* Complete texture map UVs imported
* Complete skeleton imported
* All weights imported

[Installation]
==============

For 32-bit, copy the XHPMImport.dli into your 3DS Max plugins folder.
For 64-bit, copy the XHPMImport.dli into your 3DS Max plugins folder.

Once installed, you should find "XHPM Model File" as an import option from the file menu.
.YOBJ, .YMX, and a future .XHPM extensions supported.

[Instructions and Stuff]
========================

After selecting the import menu item in Max, select any .yobj or .ymx file in a folder.

Note: UFC .ymx models are compressed, you must first decompress them

A selection prompt will then come up, asking if you want to open every model file in the folder.

If you select yes, every .yobj or .ymx (depends on what you initially select) model will load that is in the folder.

[Known Bugs]
============

* None known at this time.

[Changes]
=========

0.97 * First official release.

0.10 * Initial beta release

[To Do]
=======

* Make at least a 2012 and 2013 version plugin, and hopefully also a 2008 and 2009 version.
* Add Materials.

Not any time soon. The import plugin was bad enough, but one day, I may get the inspiration to do an exporter.

I am so glad I posted the plugin here though. It's quite entertaining to hear stories of people that can't seem to download or get the plugin, that I'd rather they couldn't get the plugin anyway. :-D

Hi brienj

Thank you so much, your Yukes Model Importer Plugin is working Great!!! :)

Also can anyone help please...I only have the UFC 3 game. At the moment I can import the model file (.yobj) into 3ds max.
However, the texture .dds files are all unreadable by 3ds max and photoshop (I do have the dds Plugin in photoshop)
I use the UFC2010_PAC.bms, UFC2010_TEX.bms and UFC2010_YMX.bms from "brienj" (Thank brienj) viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4565&p=39237&hilit ... TEX#p39237
SO can anyone help make the UFC 3 .dds files work

Thank

Thank
Save the DDS files as a different format like 'png' and the use apply the texture to the model.

Thank you for the reply. I did try to change the format to .PNG as you said, but still I can not be able the read/open the texture files. Thank
This is the texture file calls "all.tex" that I extracted from 001.pac file using the UFC2010_PAC.bms from brienj: http://www.mediafire.com/?6rxk7o9rhxw67hm
And this is the broken .dds files that I use the UFC2010_TEX.bms from brienj to extracted: http://www.mediafire.com/?nof4wsmhziqilq2
Can you/anyone please take a look at this file for me?

Thank you

If you need the Max 2012 SDK to compile a 2012 version I can send it to you if you still need it. I use 2012 exclusively so I'm unable to use the script as it is currently.

What would you need to make a plugin for 3DS Max 2013? I guess I dont know what the SDK is, but if someone can help me out with that, I'll do my best to provide it
