I downloaded the max script and it tells me every time I try maxscript>run
" Maxscript autoload error
---unknown "processaffinity" in #struct:sysinfo("
it goes on to say a whole bunch <fn> and <systemglobal> listings which I can list if needed.
someone once posted a screenshot of this very error and never got an answer. what am I doing wrong?
if you get this error in max9 x86 or 64 try this:
hit f11(maxscript)
then file>open
select the ninja ripper script
then file>evaluate all

i read on tosyk's site that this software has been abandoned?

Apparently so.

Also, is there a version of this that does NOT reset bone positions? It would be incredibly useful for ripping buildings and vehicles and such.

Hello,

I loved this tool when I was able too use it, but after reinstalling windows recently I can no longer rip anything at all.
For the life of me I can't understand what happened but I've tried many different things to resolve this without any luck.

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit with a Nvidia GTX 460 Graphics Card and a Quad Core Duo processor.
This is the Same Computer Setup with which I have previously ripped many different models, so it can't be the Hardware.

I have tried both a fresh install of Win 7 100% complete windows updates, and a fresh install of Win 7 before adding any updates.
I have tried both the latest Driver for my Graphics Card and a older driver that worked last year.
I have Tried Games i never tried ripping from and games I ripped from before.
Folders are created within the game directories but when the game starts there's no text displaying "Ready to Capture" as before.

Nothing has worked.

does anyone have any ideas on this?

Would anyone be able to share the most recent 3ds max plugin for the .rip files at all?

The link on the website is broken, I'm assuming the dropbox folder it was linked to has since been deleted.

Thanks

Here is the log file that is generated from the Test Folder TestDx9, used on the file textures which should rip no problem but does not.

Log looks ok, except this:

If you didn't remove your profile name manually, I assume it's contains wrong symbols (i.e. russian or chinese), so you need to move "ninjaripper114" folder to another path, without wrong symbols.
Like D:\Programs\ninjaripper114 or C:\ninjaripper114 for example.

Thank You Andrakann for examining the log file, I finally managed to figured out the problem.

I'm actually embarassed to say but I needed to actually swap keyboards because for some crazy reason the function keys were not working properly.

what a pain in the neck that was for something so stupid.

Thanks again for responding.

I was looking for a DX11 equivalent to 3d ripper dx and found Ninja Ripper. I wanted such a tool to get models from Dolphin, as its devs are abandoning 32-bit and DX9 support. I ran the emulator from ninja ripper, hit the capture key and nothing happened. Thinking there was a fluke with the ripper, I opened Freelancer with it. Ripped fine. And while I can get it to dump textures, that both isn't what I want and is redundant due to the emulator's native capability. And while I could just use BRRESviewer for a lot of the games, there are several i wish to rip from that don't support that format. So my question is if anyone else has been having a similar problem and/or have a solution to mine.
