@Mr Adults, Yeah I saw the update. I just keep forgetting to do that. Thanks for reminding me.

I personally haven't had any issues with the PS3 data using Noesis or my own Autodesk importers.
As far as Noesis goes, I've always used the FBX format since it was added; not sure if that makes any difference.

Here's the 3DS Max material setup.

As an aside, this is a lot more straight forward in Softimage and Lightwave.
Lightwave especially since it comes from a video production background and automatically looks at the green channel.

FYI, you also don't need to be doing anything with RPG contexts there. That stuff is only for the RPG geometry interface, which you aren't actually using.

I probably copied a bunch of junk from something else I was playing with.

EDIT: Animation WIP

Update: Most of the data is quaternion curves with a few constant and linear curves thrown in for flavor.

Nice bit of progress there Dude. Although i was just wondering how you were going to get noesis to load the corresponding animation for a model or vice versa...

Well I'm doing Autodesk products first,i.e., Maya, 3ds Max, Softimage, and maybe Motion Builder.
(I'm stuck in a Autodesk rut for some reason) Then I'll make a plugin for Noesis.
I have a lackadaisical way of going about things so it way be a while longer.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE_oIIIwWl0
Also, I'm totally cheating. This was all figured out 3 years ago. https://github.com/nohbdy/ffxivmodelvie ... /Animation

Anyway, looks like the quaternion decompression works:

Well, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

Edit: I was using the wrong model. Looks like the 2xx models (PCs) are the animated ones. Poor Vanille is still a twisted mess, but her legs look fantastic! :P
Animated perfectly and everything. Looks like I missed coding some things - have to redo a bunch of junk. :constipated:

The mediafire link is down. Can someone host this plugin somewhere else?
BBSFM and KH2FM+ saves are compatible with KH2.5. viewtopic.php?t=13424

MediaFire is retarded. Upload (seriously) copyrighted material - they don't care.
Upload python code or a simple file list - "file has been deleted and a strike has been placed against your account."

Whatever, I moved everything to my Skydrive: https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=5 ... EADBF2!560
Somewhere in the middle is a playblast of my zombie Vanille. Even that I had to fat-finger the rotation values a bit.
The files for it are FF13_Maya and Vanille_anim.
You'll have to place c205.ps3.trb and c205.ps3.bin in the same directory if you want to putz around with it or
maybe figure out the 1000 things I'm doing wrong. :bleh:

UPDATE: So you have to use joint orientation and NOT rotation. ◖|◔◡◉|◗ <Huuuuur
Did I mention I'm a total noob and never imported animation data before.....?

It's a good thing you watermarked that image with the URL for this thread, I would hate to see people not giving proper recognition to whoever the guy was that bothered to figure out those animations 3 years ago. By coming here and reading through this entire thread and seeing where you briefly referenced his source code. Good thinking ahead.
