Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
I am pretty new here and to this thread. I have started to read most of the thread lots of pages. I can get the cars extracted and textures. I am trying for the tracks. I can get objects and textures but the textures are not lining up. Just wondering if there is a fix for that yet? I am not using the models for any kind of modding just doing some renders and making some scenes.

I think it's a bonus functionality in addition to primary goal - convert car models, so it's feature has very limited support by author...Maxnut23 wrote:I can get objects and textures but the textures are not lining up. Just wondering if there is a fix for that yet?
You can use this tool for conversion to wav. Put towav.exe and ConvAll.bat from archive into one folder with forza sound banks .fsb(s) and run ConvAll.bat.Justdragos wrote:Thank you Andrakann, but how do i extract the sounds from the game? Enginesounds.....?
One .fsb contains multiple (10-15) sound samples, so put one in empty folder before running .bat, or you'll be overwhelmed by tons of .wav-s =)

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
A couple of samples were sent to me yesterday, but I could still use some SLOD ones if available. I've spent a couple of hours on this already and should hopefully have something to show in the next day or twobigBear wrote:So...no no Forza Horizon files?
Demo is already out. Really want the Ferrari Iltalia 458 Spyder and Reventon roadster.

Does Forza Horizon even has SLOD models? I thought Turn10 has stopped the SLOD files since Dodge Viper 2013.

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
They might not have SLODs anymore, I was just acknowledging the possibility. Progress is good so far however, and I've got my application parsing through all of the major LOD0 and cockpit model file structures. Unfortunately, the vertex format appears to have changed yet again, so I'll likely be wrestling with that for a while. Hopefully it won't come down to disassembling the game's executable to figure out exactly what's going on, as I have no interest in learning PPC anytime soon

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Vertex format ended up being similar to Forza 4 and just a simple off-by-4-bytes error on my end

Re: Forza Motorsport Resource Extraction (.carbin)
Things are coming along quite nicely Asset quality is pretty amazing from what I've seen so far, and I'm really looking forward to the release of this game. Once it's out, I'll probably release an updated version of Forza Studio a few days after, when I'm confident in its ability to process the majority of the targeted resources. Track objects now have different LODs so I'll need to switch things around a bit. Colorado has 14+ million polys (lod0-whatever) with all objects being parsed right now

Excellent news Mike!
WOW 14 million polygones, wondering how that could run smoothly in the console.
Interesting information

great work Ernegien, tks for all that Time and work u spend in Forza Studio
one question about that bin.zip file in Track folder, seems u can extract they, but when i try to use Quickbms with Script that until now work with cars and Tracks, it won´t work with these new Forza Horizon Track Bin.zip Files, may u have a hint for me ?
i get the that error message
------------------------------
- SCRIPT's MESSAGE:
the file is encrypted, you must set ZIP_PASSWORD in the script
