I'm going to need to know exactly which file you're opening in order to help diagnose the issue...

For what it's worth, I tinkered with anything I could find to tinker with. In right clicking properties on the application icon I saw a compatibility tab and changed it to Windows NT 4.0 (service pack 5) from XP SP2. After doing that I run the application and get "application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process ID=0xfd8 (4056), Thread=0x630 (1584) Click OK to terminate the application. Click cancel to debug the application".

If I do hit cancel there I get "No registered JIT debugger was specified. Click on retry to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually. Click on Cancel to abort the JIT debug request.". If I hit retry here nothing happens.

Still no error.txt generated in the folder where the app resides.

@Ernegien: Looking forward to use some of that Forza4 tracks soon :!:
I was wondering if u ready with tracks and their textures, could u upload the whole program of Forza.. Cause i never can use it, eventhough i have installed Microsoft softwares for it like u suggest :) only Forza tool works for me that was uploaded by someone who fixed it while ago. I'm using Win 7 x64 sp1

Btw, does anyone know what to use to extract Forza4 dvd's .iso :?:

Edit: Nevermind i figured it out with Xiso > http://www.eurasia.nu/modules.php?name= ... _(windows)
Just need to drag and drop .iso into this dos program and it starts to unpack it into the same dir as ur .iso :D

Since it appears that the mods would rather delete entire posts rather than prune stale links to "illegal" content, any further discussion/updates will be posted on my blog at http://codeescape.com/.

thanks to some idiots, always have somebody have to ruine all. People dont understand words "permission", "author" and "rights"

Thanks Ernegien for all your great work, lately couldnt write due problems with internet. All the models I opened untill now works great, beside BMW 850CSi which has weird mapping of "black" material, maybe t10 screw it hmm.

Huh. Using that kapatan file, ForzaStudio works for the first time for me (for FM3 stuff). Weird. Imports into ZM2 perfectly. So quick and easy. Geez.

Now if I could just get into the FM4 stuff...

Ran into a little problem with the Hummer H1 SLOD
Here is the complete lights mapping:
Image
Notice how crowded that area on the left is, and also that some parts of the texture are not used at all. I triple checked and everything is there. I know there are some interior lights, but those are mapped separately on another texture.

Zooming in on some of the objects in the circled area clearly shows they match the unused parts of the texture:

Can you please check this Ernegien? I'm curious if it's a FS bug or a FM4 bug :)

For me it looks like place for chrome effect, or sometimes when there are some unused things of model, which they doesn't matter of the final look, they are placed on one place.

Don't you find it strange that all objects crowded in that gray area are shaped exactly like the unused parts of the texture?

And it's not supposed to be a chrome effect, those are all glass parts.

Well You got the answer... Tell me, glass is transparent right? so why it will need correct mapping? Also Forza doesn't use something like windshields so that's the reason why glass is mapped like that. Lazy Turn's 10 ass.

Transparency is one thing, clear glass is another! Transparent glass/plastic can have any color. Mkey?!

Windshields are a different story in Forza, don't mix them up. Anything with "glass" material usually doesn't use a diffuse texture, but objects like detail_glass_clear or detail_glass_amber do have it.

I think it's just something connected with game coding or game bug... :ninja: I don't know. Simply, ask Turn 10 ;). I looked into game text files with textures but nothing, which is connected with such strange glass mapping.
