Are you serious?
You gotta be kidding, otherwise I'll be looking for my shotgun.
Only lod0 are supported.
Please be more specific, what problems do you have?

I run Forza Texture Extractor , then try to open the texture of any race track in Forza 4 and get the error, which wrote to the above :( :( :(

The .bix format seems to have changed in Forza 4, so those are currently unsupported until I get the chance to look into it further...

Ernegien, any news about the second set of coordinates for texturing?

Could you please provide us an extraction of this set for body mapping on a car common for both FM3 and FM4 (i.e. 1997 Acura NSX), in order to find a way to scale and place the mapping on texture and compare the result with the coordinates set?

Do you need FM4 1997 Acura NSX for this test (acu_nsx_97_lod0.carbin)?

Tell me, I can post somewhere both lod0 for FM3 and FM4 models.

Thank you for all work still done!

Hello everybody! awesome site, awesome tools!
ive been going crazy over forza models (some are over 800k polies!)
but im probably really stupid and i cant find where to get the carbin files!
iv found a russian website where u can download them one by one but 95% of the zip archives are corrupt!
ive tried to download forza 4 xbox360 and extract it but i get files named like string files with no extension! so i have no idea what file is it and how to extract it
please help me!
so ever i was able to extract on work on some models like the f355 the gt500 428 and the quality is too intense!
i would be very thankful for any help or answer

I've already fixed it on my end :P The header magic changed from BIX0 to BIX1 and they started using a few different linear D3DFMTs to store their textures. Forza studio will be capable of extracting track textures :)

That's good news; but are you making any progress concerning the rest of the vehicle carbin files ? Afterall, we can always map the models ourselves as required, but getting the other meshes is another thing

Those are the files, just extract it and you need another extractor called wxPirs to browse and extract those files.
