Also, LOVE the program, you are a HERO for making it.
I haven't been keeping a list of individual games. Since a lot of formats are used in dozens or hundreds of games (like GMO), I imagine the list of games is probably pretty huge.
firsak wrote:Thanks a lot. Just wish there was an option to export to v.2010 FBX, so that old farts using ancient Max versions could import those FBX files as well.
Max 2010, 2011, 2012 are abominations in my opinion.
Thanks for the paypal donation. :) I actually looked around the FBX SDK for an option to export files in compatibility/2011/etc. mode but I couldn't find anything, cause I also wanted a compatibility mode option. It seems like something that should be there, but the SDK sucks in a lot of ways so it wouldn't surprise me if it's not. If anyone knows how to do this without having to link 2 separate SDK libs, let me know.

Again for people who can't use revelation's plugin, reinstall your MSVC runtimes. Messed up CRT dependencies are almost always the cause of trouble with loading plugin DLL's. Also make sure you're using the latest Noesis. Lots of plugins check the API version and refuse to run on versions older than the one they were compiled against.

[plugins] update

Post by revelation »

Just a quick update that might help those having visual studio redistributable issues.

Thinking i might update the Raging Blast plugin to merge directories that only differ by the _m, _i, _v suffix to aid those having problems manually finding the correct .ioram and .vram files after opening the .spr file.

But only time will tell, as i have hopes on completing a more comprehensive improvement in the near future...

Does Noesis support both xbox360 and PS3 versions of the rpf files?

If it supports 360 then can any recommend a drive that I can buy to read my retail 360 copy of RDR? I've seen a few online but is there anything that works well with Noesis?

Still not working (RDR files). I downloaded the version of Noesis V362. but I can not see the images or models. When I try to open one, no previews. He asks if I want to remove it (Pictures or models) but then does not appear in my pc but according to the program, it has been extracted

hey dude, I managed to finally get hold of the rpf layers so i'm currently extracting layer0 data out of Noesis but it's super slow (think it's because it's only using one of my eight cores). I'll try and help if I can - i'll let you know if it works for me once they're extracted.

So far its been running for over an hour and done 300meg / 3gig so it's going to be a while! I don't have any texture or model files yet, just lots of dat and other rsc files. Maybe there's more cool stuff on layer1?

Does anyone know if this is using brute force or does it use the key everyone was trying to find?

It works! I'm so happy! Holy cow i've been searching/waiting for this for almost two years! I want to make a donation but cant find the Paypal account anywhere on oasis.xentax.com. Please can someone point me in the right direction so I can also give a donation to revelation for his hard work?

lUIGUIPIETRO - I got it to work. Have you had anymore luck? I'm using the 360 version (not the ps3 ver like you) so maybe that's where you're going wrong? Doesn't seem likely though.

chrrox - interesting, thanks. I'll give it a try exporting to another drive.

Is there a way to export multiple rsc0a files from Noesis in one go or is individual exporting the only way possible right now? I'm doing it one at a time right now and there's plenty to get through :)

pixeldamage: I saw you paypal'd me 20 bucks thanking me for Red Dead support, but that's all revelation, he's the one that made the Noesis plugin to support the game. I just made Noesis itself. I'll ask him if he has paypal next time I see him on gtalk, and forward him your 20 bucks if he does. :)

as idea:
ogre3d engine + noesis plugin = native support ogre3d .mesh + .material + .skeleton files (some games use ogre3d engine)

P.S. And one suggestion: don't reset camera position/angle when load new model - when model showed back, i rotate camera, load next model, again rotate camera :( or make switch like F4 (culling) they need too global state, not only for current model ...
