Hey guys, I stumbled upon this tool after searching everywhere for a .PAC extractor with no luck.

It says it supports .PAC files from the Sword of the Berserk game for Dreamcast. Is it possible to update it so it can open .PAC files from the PS2 Berserk game?

I have said game, if the .PAC files themselves are needed.

Thanks.

Sword of the Bersek .pac models were basically NJCM models and PVR VQ (for the most part) textures, which are very Dreamcast-specific formats. I'd bet good money that any PS2 Berserk games would use very different file formats, even if they happen to have the same file extension.

So, basically, adding support for those files would not be made any easier by the fact that files from the Dreamcast game are already supported.

Oh, well. I really had no idea.

Could you check a .PAC then, if I upload it? Although it seems to be a pack of archives. However none of the available PAC unpackers worked so far.

Bagserk: If there's no thread on the format, and it's an archive format, you should go make a thread about it in the game archive forum. You'll probably have to upload some sample data as well if you want anyone to help you.

DOTAPRINCE: Noesis will load the textures if they're in the same directory as the model, so you'll have to hunt down the appropriate .vtf files and shove them in the same directory. Tools->Data viewer->Model 1->Materials will show you the names of the files it's looking to load. (see the "Name" field of each material)

Thanks, I'll upload a .PAC and post a thread about it in said forum.

Noesis is exporting Dota 2 models with the weights all wrong. Using mdl decompiler the weights are all ok.
Just wanted to report that, dunno if it's a know problem.

Yeah I fixed that, just haven't gotten around to putting up a release. I'll probably do it this weekend.

Check out the readme file, you'll find all sorts of neat options that you can use w/ Noesis.

When you export select ".smd - Valve SMD" from the Main output type drop down box.

Is there any way that you can add support for the animation files of Sword of the Berserk (dreamcast)? I believe they are in the MOTION folder of the disk, and have a .BML extension. I can provide you with example files, if you need them.

I'm a bit curious, The format from Lost planet 2, it uses the same extension, as the Lost planet 1 and DMC4, (.mod) but noesis can't open the .mod or .tex from lost planet 2, will there be any support on that?
