generally password is found from exe of game. search for that in it you will see it is in same place for demo and full. You can get also by dissamblying game exe and finding password insertion command.

Retro Sprint (no head bobbing)
A do-it-yourself minimod for the game Hard Reset (all versions)
No Squirrel bytecode decompilation required


1. Extract file data\scriptsbin\gameplay\base_templates\models\m_camera.nut
  • - This compiled Squirrel script file can be found in data_10_scripts.bin, which is a password encrypted ZIP file. Look for ZIP password of your game version here in this thread.
2. Hex edit file
  • - Find string sprint (case sensitive), and then find the second occurence of it. For Hard Reset Demo version it will be at 071F.
    - Replace sprint to run. This will cause the file size to be 3 bytes less. Seems unbelievable, but the file will remain to be a working script after that.
    - Position your cursor on the letter r of run and step 4 bytes left, there's a 06 byte value. Replace this to 03. (String length of sprint was 6 bytes, we need to update this to 3 since run is shorter.)
    - Save the file and quit hex editor.
3. Put edited m_camera.nut file into data\scriptsbin\gameplay\base_templates\models folder of your installed game
  • - Game will find and use this file instead of its original packed in data_10_scripts.bin.
