I have everything about the format I just need to find a way to seek to the offsets other then manually setting them.

If you want I cam send you the code that I used for the ripper. it's in vb6. Worse case you can open it in a text editor and use it for reference. or i can write an extractor that will dump the raw stuff you need without all the garbage that you dont.

that might help but using the search method you posted wont work to get meshes with bones and weights because the bone id's used in each mesh start before that data in each mesh section and vary in size.

Shoot me a PM with some offsets and a specific file so i can see where they start and how they relate to the beginning of the mesh data. There has to be a relationship or something distinct as a header

use any file i just need to get to 00 00 00 FF FF FF FF at the start of each mesh section
in reality i could search for this offset its not idea but i could.
But i also need to get to the start of the matrix values that is more important.

Doesn't work when I export to max 2011. It comes out as a mess of wires and bones sitting right into each other pointing upward. I already set my list separator(can't find anything else that says decimal separator) to . instead of ,
