They are inside of zip files made by Turn10.
Open that zip and you'll see these .xds files.
Impossible to miss them out.

I converted BMW M5 to GTA4. The mesh is converted, but textures interior are missing. Are they on a Forza 3 disk and in which folder?
It look like this, on this time:

Hey everyone, first, I'd like to say thanks for all your hard work in creating this awesome program, really appreciate it.

I have a few questions about the camera, though, while I'm "flying" around the scene, checking out the car, if I press up on my keyboard the focus seems to change to the tabs above the 3d window, so when I press right, it switches tabs, gets a bit annoying to have to continually click in the 3d window, just wondering if there's possibility for a fix? Or if there is a fix, please point me in the right direction.

Second question, would it be possible to create a different type or camera? A rotating on a central pivot kind of one, like the ones in, for example, 3D Studio Max, I just thought it might be easier to use. (using the mouse to rotate, scroll to zoom and so on...).

Sorry if any of this has been discussed before, I have read the whole thread a while ago and don't recall anything about this.

You want something like this?

Try this:
Import CARBIN with Forza Studio and export as OBJ.
Import OBJ with DeepExploration and export as X.
Import X with 3DSimEd and export as DAE.
Import DAE with 3dsmax and you're done!

Why that is impossible to me on your method.
How you have made converting? Write please more in detail.

I did so:
1 - Import CARBIN with Forza Studio and export as OBJ

2 - Import OBJ with DeepExploration 5.5 and export as format X.

3 Import X with 3DSimEd and export as Collada DAE.

4 - Import DAE with 3dsmax 2010 and I have an error...

Format DAE can't be export to 3ds max.
Here the image of my error at import in 3ds max ***.dae

HELP PLEASE.
How it to correct, what I have made not correctly?

Exported as Open Collada Imported into Max and now I can convert to Editable Poly and play around without any Errors.

Look I "played" and all is right:

Hello,
Help please. How you have made that in 3ds max it was possible работь with editable poly? At you quality also remains to model equal? Or has worsened... It becomes seems at export a grid of models of a curve...
Explain please your method. I tried to do:
carbin--> obj
import obj MAYA. mesh-cleanup. export to Collada DAE.
import model in 3ds max.
3ds max. Convert to editable poly and quality at once there are dents...
How it to correct? At you all has passed successfully?

Looks like your graphics card is incompatible with the current device initialization code. If you can get me the specs of it I might be able to help you out a little bit more...

A note for anyone who is quoting posts with screenshots.
Do not quote the screens many times over and over.
Its annoying and with these quoted posted screens, it makes reading not nice.

@Tarec, its your videochip.
Its onboard and its from Intel, VIA, or Sis Mirage.
These chips are very horrible and only for Office and Internet.
There is no solution for this problem.
But there are 2 option:
1) get a better laptop.
2) get a PC with better grapic card.

To answer this for you and anyone else that seems to struggle. NO they are not on disk 3 everything you need for the car is in the Zip files on disk 1. The same zip as you extracted the car model and the exterior textures from. When you extract the zip file, you should have something like this..
  • 2 folders one named Livery masks and one names physics.
    2 XML documents named "carattribs" and "shadersettings"
    1 HTML build report
    Approximately 10 .Carbin files ( models )
    Approximately 10 .XDS files ( textures )
For the .Carbin models you should have AT LEAST! 4 rotor models, 4 calliper models, a main model for the body in your case here bmw_m5_09.carbin, an LOD0 version of that car and a cockpit model.

For the textures you should have AT LEAST! 4 images for lights, a lights and a lights_lod0 for both damaged and non damaged. 4 images for the exterior, again 2 for damaged and 2 for non damaged.
And finally a " interior_lod0.xds " file THIS is the interior textures.

BTW i just unzipped the BMW M5 myself and ALL of those files have been extracted ( including the Interior_lod0.xds ) so it must be a user error rather than a software error that you are experiencing.

Here's what the contents of the BMW M5 should look like. Image
Yes! i know that's what i said... But its not what i meant. ;)

I HAVE it, but when I place a texture on a model which use it, it isn't textured correctly. I use Zmodeler 2.
