Re: Soul Calibur 4
It's under language options in the systemmenu.
After fiddling around with the spks i was finally able to inject my modified files again
I edited the model(corrupted some parts parts of the blouse so it disappears with my trusty friend hexworkshop ) and modified the skin textures(could be better but good enough for the test)
If you want to replace textures i suggest todo this for now:
1. use spk extractor to get the correct textures
2. modify them to your liking, save whatever type it is(dxt1 to dxt5) with 3(THREE) mipmaps so the size stays the same
3. open the edited dds in hexworkshop or similiar, tools->operations->byte flip->16 bit -> ok
4. wait for the magic to complete
5. ignore the first 80 bytes and copy the rest
6. open the spk file with the hexeditor and search for the correct GIDX entry, the extracted dds files contain their position in the texture block at the last position r_all_blah_95.dds etc
so search 95 times for gidx and you have the correct position (find all helps alot here)
7. ignore the first 10 bytes
8. select block of same size of the dds texture you copied to your clipboard, press delete then paste your edited texture(or overwrite if your app supports it... DO NOT INSERT WITHOUT REMOVING THE SAME AMOUNT OF BYTES FIRST!!!)
The result of way too much work:

Re: Soul Calibur 4
you can't just make a texture black and hope that it becomes transparent lol
you have to edit the mesh or the mesh / original texture has to support the alpha channel... which only very few do
