Post by DRAVEN »

here is the savedata.dat file from the paint tool can any one come up with a way to edit it on a pc so we could import images to the game
I beleave its a refrence file and the game uses it to make textures

If you open this in note pad you see the image but not if you use a hex editor...

Here's what I think:
There's a list of 256x256 images, 8-bit, 256 colours, in that SaveData.dat file.
They start with a palette and then the raw image data. There are only two images, I saw, the rest is all blank.

For instance, the first imagedata starts at 1068 (the palette is before that, 1024 in size (4 bytes per colour? RGB-alpha?). It depends on what the colour should be in the original game?

what was meant by my statement mr mouse is that if we could edit images in photoshop and insert them into the game by using this save file it would be incredibly easy to make perfect attires, tattoos, logos or other textures from the created wrestler feature in the game.

Yeah this would be amazing! The possibilities would be endless.

Also plodtrew just so you know I downloaded the file and resigned it and it worked great on my profile..... Nice Hogan and Razor logos! They are awesome! Any chance you could make a good tna logo? (I tried and failed miserably)

What tool did you use to resign it?

Okay, there are graphics in it, like two PNGs and more. Got more examples? I need those to compare general structure.

Okay, but your file has bytes of 0x20 (32) in stead of 0's where 0's should be. Did you do something to the file, or had the other paintool.pt file been altered somehow? I would prefer if that could be fixed somehow.
