Ok, i have a first request.
I download the game PRIUS ONLINE and its impossible to register if you dont live in korea. The files that are in the install folder are like this:
prius.exe 11mb
prius.dat 1.8GB
prius.idx 61mb
prius.pdb 152mb
As you see there is no file that i can simply post here. .DAT is quite common so maybe i can open it with some extractor. I will try it. I have also seen .idx before. Any suggestion for extractor?
The game is made by NETMARBLE so maybe you have seen other games?
Important information: this site is currently scheduled to go offline indefinitely by end of the year.

Re: Prius Online
Hey Without having a beginning of file (header) or footer of file,or format specification, there is no way that somebody will be able to do a extractor for that formatpixellegolas wrote:Ok, i have a first request.

But I guess that .dat = raw data,.idx = information about raw data and pdb = database of files
You may always split any file to smaller chunk and upload it,like split 1% from every huge file (at beginning of every file format, except exe)
After that I'll be able to help you (maybe:)

Re: Prius Online
Hi!
Ok, so how would i split a file? I guess i cant just use winrar or winzip and make splitted zips
I am right now scanning the 1.8gb .dat file with jaeder naub via multiex commander. I hope it will find something.
I tried the dat file in dragon unpacker and it could open it but there was only a bunch of files with weird signs (korean language format) and then i got an error about something and it quit. But it was able to open it and see in the archive.

Nono do not make split archives,it will be useless because of compression...
you must split it manually or use any tool (search on forum or google,I cant remember any name atm)....
After that, you may compress that splitted chunk as normal file by rar or zip....
Archive may include any unicode names, then one char is equal to 2 or 4 bytes, this may be problem for dragon unpacker, because afaik it doesnt supports unicode....

Re: Prius Online
Ok, i have used this program to split the .idx file: http://www.dekabyte.com/filesplitter/
It creates .01 .02 files and so on and a .exe file to make them whole again. Would that be a file to use?
http://www.2shared.com/file/3761055/3de ... usidx.html
Tell me if it works to look at this file or if you can recommend one
Thanks!

Re: Prius Online
First of all, the PDB file is nothing; it's debugging database used by Microsoft Visual C++, and it is usually not included with released programs. It has a lot of empty space; that's why it compressed so well.
It looks like the data in the DAT file is compressed, and aligned to 512-byte boundries. In the IDX file there's a section after each set of filenames that looks like it has the offset to the data in the DAT file (divided by 512, that's why there's padding) and the compressed size.

And I said, "The well has finally run dry." So then that will be my battle cry.

Re: Prius Online
lol, yes like a big zip file. But it is not zipped using a zlib compression most likely. I just came here to say, when you want to split a file use a hex editor. Get "Hexworkshop" as it is the best one (in my limited experience) there are many magical ways to get it ^_^. Using a hex editor you just cut off about the first 1000 bytes or so, and paste them in a new file and save :D. Easy as that ^_^.

Re: Prius Online
Are you sure it's not zlib compressed!? The 1st compressed file is located at 0x220 with classic "78 01" zlib header!
And when I uncompressed it, I got a text file like this!
