That swat sample is full of BIP01_ strings, so probably contains animation data.

edit: gave it a second go:

Well, apparently I found that file on the "Models" Folder of the game, I ripped the game's files and as I go to content, models and there is SWAT.XNB, which when I checked on HxD, it's a ModelReader, how can you tell it's an animation file? is it possible or not? i'm just only wondering because I wanted that model so hard that I wanted to port it into other games.

Let me show you some examples on imgur: https://imgur.com/a/6EELq0O

Wow... that's great! could you send me the obj for it? Also, does it have UVs?

Well, what do you think hex2obj is good for? Use it if you want the obj.

Also, an reminder, I got the obj and for some reason, it doesn't have UVs applied, are there any issues about them or it's the program?

I'd expect people who post in THIS thread to have some basic knowledge of hex2obj. (Otherwise post in the models forum, please.)

Thanks, man. :)

This thread should be reserved for posting problems with hex2obj when extracting simple models.
Not as a general "models service" thread.

I should have taken more care for this in the past. So my fault, sorry.

Hey there, it's me again, I don't know if you will help me or anything but I'll say it anyways, I've ripped 3 models from CastleMiner Z, I've got the textures and everything but I tried my best of using Hex2Obj and no success for me, I know how to save them though as mesh but, could you help me ripping those 3 models from that game? (the file is XNB as always but extracted raw via QuickBMS, I don't want to ruin this thread or anything, I'm just telling the community to rip those because the entire community didn't ripped them since 2011, I'm trying to get them to port those into other games to get a lot of nostalgia for everyone :( ) here are the models that i ripped them: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LOQSsk ... sp=sharing

One last time. I have no idea, why the endianness is different.

i sent 3 models from that game, why did you sent that screenshot only? in that rar, it has the zombie model and another swat model from CastleMiner Z, this is the last time that I'm asking this and i promise, I'll leave you alone. :keke:
I'm telling you to do these because the entire community didn't ripped them for years, if you do rip them, i can just port them into other games. :]

alright shakotay2, I changed my mind, since I'll leave this thread cleaned, I created a new thread on 3D/2D models on CastleMiner Z models, you can respond there or I'll wait someone else to help me out, I'll also give it a link for it if anyone wants to handle them and screenshotting them to me. here is the link of the thread: viewtopic.php?p=190675#p190675 (That thread is almost around 100 visits and no one responded it) my apologies for the chaos man, it won't happen again. you have my word. :)

Re: Extracting simple models

I just found this tool a couple of days ago, it looks interesting for my goal. I would like to extract and edit 3D models from old EA Sports games as NHL 07 and Madden 10 to 13 for PS3, PSP and PS Vita.

The models for Madden are in .rsf files. I just found two useful threads about that in XeNTaX, Madden 12 RSF Files and EA SPORTS Nascar 08 file formats.

However, for NHL 07 PSP, also a game from EA Sports, the models are in .o files that follow an .elf structure. I do not see any face indices that usually are easy to find just looking for the alphabet. OTools for EA Sports 3D Graphics format, is capable to open some .o files but not files coming from PSP just yet.

I need help, in particular, to extract models from .o files coming from NHL 07 PSP via the Hex2obj tool.
Download two sample files from this link. I have included a .rsf file -Madden 13 Dolphins stadium- plus an .o file -NHL 07 bench players-

Thanks.

Note: If this is not the proper thread for this kind questions, I start a new one and delete this post.
