With your new script, models are way smaller after importing in 3ds max or blender. I found a setting called "UnitsPerMeter_new = 1.0" which could be the problem. Any idea what could be a number that is equal to the size used in the scripts before?

Hi,

most of the time the units per meter parameter is either 1 or 100, you can either disable the Transform feature by setting TRANSFORM_FILE = False
or you could use Granny Viewer to see actuall UnitsPerMeter and set the correct parameter.
when ever i make another update ill add a deafult option that dosent rescale the model.

I am using granny 2.11.8.0 for 32 and 64 bit
these should work for everything as there have been no major changes to the best of my knowlage

The only thing thats importent is making sure its a .dll with BitKnit compression support, since that and and texture decompression are the only functions i use the .dll for

How can i view the animations of Diablo 2 resurrected creature models in 1 scene? I'm not quite sure wich one of these setting needs a 0 or 1..??
MULTIFILE = 0
SMART_DETECTION = 0
ANIMATION_TRACK = 0
ANIMATION_MODE = 0
SKELETON_LOAD = 0
MERGE_SCENE = 1
CRC_CORRECTION = 0

I can get the model to show up but not the bones nor does it play a animation...

So i need to know firstly, the correct settings and then i need to know what i have to load first?
First the model, then if it asks me to Select the folder that containes wanted .GR2 files, should i select the skeleton folder or the animation folder?
Or should I first load the skeleton folder and then if it asks me to Select the folder that containes wanted .GR2 files I select the main folder wich contains the model?
I'm a bit confused on the excact steps to wich folder to point to..

The settings explanation can be a lil "overwhelming" at first.
You should go with
MULTIFILE = 0
SMART_DETECTION = 1
ANIMATION_TRACK = X --> you need to change this and reload plugin to cycle animations, it'll ask for files again. Unless there's another method to cycle animation as my plugin is old and i've to update it :D

ANIMATION_MODE = 1 --> if you leave it @ 0 you're telling the program not to load animations. 1 is to load animations outside the 1st loaded file. 2 is to load animations directly from the 1st main file.

SKELETON_LOAD = 0 --> If 0 it mean that skeleton and meshes are inside the same file, otherwise if the skeleton and meshes are separate you go with 1 and have to load it too (Ex. Elder Scroll Online)
MERGE_SCENE = 2

With these settings you'll first load the wanted meshes+skeleton, then another window will pop and ask for the animation file.

I've done what you subscribed and i tried 0,1,2 for animation mode, with 0 no animations are there and with 1 or 2 i'm getting an error. In the error it talks about AnimationMode.. so that's why i tried fiddling around with that but to no afail.
I even tried switching files around because all the files are in seperate folders when extracted with CascView, but I could not get it to work, so i put every file in 1 folder (mesh/skeleton/animation) but it still does not work. I can't get the animations to work.
I tried every animation track as well but that didn't worked either.

Could you tell me if you have all the needed files in seperate folders or everything in 1 main folder?

(I extracted the "Hydra1" creature btw... maybe that specific creature does not work?)

Maybe it's better if you could show a little preview video of the import process? That would be verry helpfull not only for me but for others as well!

Thanks for answering so far,

Well, After various trial and some "wtf" moment, i can safely say that the latest plugin (1.35) gives me this error when trying to load a D2R animation:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Users\LoremIpsum\Downloads\noesisv4417\plugins\python\fmt_GR2reader.py", line 5228, in noepyLoadModel
anims,frameRate = animation(anim_data,bones, ANIMATION_MODE, model,frameRate)
File "C:\Users\LoremIpsum\Downloads\noesisv4417\plugins\python\fmt_GR2reader.py", line 5113, in animation
InitialPlacement = model.Trackgroups.InitialPlacement[value]
TypeError: 'Transform' object does not support indexing
While the old one i got, V1.3 does not.
Could you try the attached one first?

Yes the latest version throughs out an error indeed.
The script you send, (v1.3) works! The animation is playing as well!

Don't know what the issue is!

btw..
How can I cycle through animations or can I only import 1 animation at the time?
And are there multiple animations in 1 track or is it 1 animaton per track?

'Am happy that is working, you've to import 1 at time, just change the n° of ANIMATION_TRACK and reload the plugin through Tool-> Reload Plugin, if it's playing the 1st animation it mean that the track ended.
