hey everyone, I'm on noesisv4442, GR2reader132 and granny2.dll 2.11.8.0 (from link on page5, copied to root noesis folder).
Attempting to open a .model file asks for the animation file and then throws the Cant locate granny2.dll error. Any suggestions on getting this to work? Thanks!

you need to place it in the main folder where noesis.exe isvssrc wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 7:43 am hey everyone, I'm on noesisv4442, GR2reader132 and granny2.dll 2.11.8.0 (from link on page5, copied to root noesis folder).

Re: Granny .GR2 Reader plugin for Noesis
@jayn23 : Thanks, it would be great if someone could share a granny2.dll that is confirmed to be working. the page 5 one unfortunately isn't working in combination with the versions of noesis/GR2 reader plugin I mentioned.

Re: Granny .GR2 Reader plugin for Noesis
The one on page 5 should work, did you try an earlier version 1.3? or even 1.2 from first page just to see if it works?
make sure you delete the current script before putting in the 1.2 or 1.3
Re: Granny .GR2 Reader plugin for Noesis
Thanks so much, that did it. I went back to 1.31 and no issues now. Cheers

Re: Granny .GR2 Reader plugin for Noesis
if i remember correctly metin2 animation files dont contain mesh or skeleton so there is nothing to export.
to export an animation you need at the very least to load a skeleton with the animation then you can export to FBX or DAE.
regrding the exported position, every game does it differently, and currently my script dosent identify initial position, maybe i can add that in a future update

When exporting with FBX or DAE you can select the rotate 90 degree option.
Some Games use a Z up, others use a Y up.

Re: Granny .GR2 Reader plugin for Noesis
when i select the rotate 90 degree option it makes character upside down.
and i guess i found a bug.
in this animation assassins feets are stable and body moving but when loaded or exported, feets are starting to move.

Re: Granny .GR2 Reader plugin for Noesis
It's something with the try: you placed on the decompress in 132?
Debug gives me no feed back.
On how the meshes are stored in a GR2?
Look at ArtToolinfo
UpVector, BackVector, RightVector.
Now the GrannyViewer always shows a model in a proper orientation based on that information is my opinion.
Export the meshes? They are as saved in the GR2 which does not match the Vectors in some cases.

i started working at auto orintation based on art tool info data, i create a matrix from UpVector, BackVector, RightVector and multiply the first bone of the skeleton - that fixes the skeleton orintation, i use the same matrix for mesh - which fixes the mesh orintation but for some reason normals get inverted now.
so i used a wind command noesis has and that fixes it until i apply an animation then normals are flipped again no matter what i do..
i am i doing the transformation wrong? why are the normals fliping

Re: Granny .GR2 Reader plugin for Noesis
That's the animation itself as in the wait.gr2 file.
I've done a few tests and the adjusted files don't have that side to side sway.
Can you provide a different animation for this model?
