This updated tool will allow to extract GT6 packages that have no VOL file, but 1000's of small files in PDIPFS directory.
As a result, it can extract DLCs, updates or original game packaged in PDIPFS format. It will not extract VOL files anymore.
All original Flatz code, slightly modified by me.
Usage: same command line, just instead of VOL file, you give it your PDIPFS folder name, where your DLC files are extracted.
Note: there are 2 types of files in PDIPFS: "full" files and "partial" files. This version only supports full files.
Important information: this site is currently scheduled to go offline indefinitely by end of the year.

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Models
Those are the courses files, vehicle files are in a folder called car and subfolders are 0001, 0002 etc..
When you actually extract the main VOL archive you get a number of folders among which are crs and car, or carparts, tire etc etc etc

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Models
No need to, daemon1 went through all the trouble and did amazing job in supporting the downloadable PKGs as well of the WHOLE game, how about just use those instead hunting down a game disc version that has the VOL archive, plus its incomplete anyway, it doesn't have all the DLCs, you'll save yourself lots of headache.
Re: Gran Turismo 6 Models
So i tried to read all the post but i don't understand the workflow. I thought it was: get the vol, extract it with GTTools and make models with GT6 frome daemon1.mono24 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 04, 2019 6:38 pmNo need to, daemon1 went through all the trouble and did amazing job in supporting the downloadable PKGs as well of the WHOLE game, how about just use those instead hunting down a game disc version that has the VOL archive, plus its incomplete anyway, it doesn't have all the DLCs, you'll save yourself lots of headache.
Sorry i'm kind of slow for these things (i'm better with Blender if someboy want to exchange knowledge)

Re: Gran Turismo 6 Models
You sure you read it well enough, even on one page back is shown, because it has been explained multiple times, regardless if you choose to dump the VOL from a game disc or the PDIPFS folder structure form PKGs its all the same, as well using the tool to convert the meshes, where exactly are you stuck?
Re: Gran Turismo 6 Models
I've read through this discussion thread and was going to ask if there's a current link to the discord as I had a couple questions and the previously posted link had expired, however with the links posted above it seems as if the hard work has already been done.
I was trying to extract the highest quality models available for the Toyota Aqua (aka Prius C), but for now I'll have a look through the provided links to see how much has already been done.
If the discord is still active then a link would be appreciated, but if not then I'll probably write a braindead-simple guide for future reference on how to extract and conform the models, along with how to find the desired files post-extraction, just as a point of future reference.
Slightly easier than trying to find the most relevant/updated posts from a thread already spanning 15 pages.
