After removing their own 12 byte headers (which are scattered around in the file) on each mipmap, it can be read normally. (with DDS header ofcourse)

You are really making good progress here, and I was right when I told Kamshaft the following in an email prior my request above:
Good to know the wild guess wasn't so wild after all.As for the other files, I have taken a look at them, but have not yet figured out exactly what they represent. Sure, there are graphics in there, and quite possibly DDS files (there's a photoshop plugin on the web for DDS files if you don't have it already) that have been header-stripped, but that's just a wild guess..
The only lead I got is this http://discussion.autodesk.com/thread.j ... dID=333785. That would be some obscured and forgoten ACAD application, but rather it is not.After this hopefully, some people will help us figure out the model files (DXG).
By sublimal association I would suspect that it could be more of some DXF format without the header, or also maniacally disguised X file.
EDIT: DXF is definetely not
