I managed to figure out the model system they used for WMMT5. Turns out the .mdl (for cars) and .bin (for tracks) are actually containers for .nud files.trawa wrote:https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/ ... 8/woah.PNG
WMMT5 files but all of them are in .MDL, nothing I've tried worked so far, looks like they're encrypted.
I'm not coding-savy at all so well, asking for help. Let your friends and friends of friends know. If we crack this open, we can get the C2 line, Osaka and Yaesu in proper quality.
I tried it on the Fairlady (Z31) by manually splitting out a few basic nud and import it with Pokken Nud import Maxscript and it imports it properly.
Did the same process on C1 Section 1 and it works too
What we need now is a tool that can unpack these archive.
Some of the game files are gzipped, you have to extract them first, then you should be able to export the models properly. Some extracted files will have blank extension,you can either just leave it that way or add the same extension matching the original file.

Now THAT is a big discovery.
But there’s a problem with WMMT5 track models. They’re slightly altered. If you played WMMT5 with TeknoParrot, you can spot few and maybe lots of differences in C1’s layout compared to Wangan Midnight (PS3)/Import Tuner Challenge (XBOX360).
In fact, i tried locating the real version of Hakone on Google Maps, and the map is heavily altered. Same goes to Hakone Turnpike (in newer version of WMMT5 and also 5DX and so on).
It would be fun to get WMMT5’s Hakone to assetto though

@REDZOEU True, the maps weren't laserscanned but they can definitely be integrated with wmps3's map with some editing, I just don't know how much work is needed tho. Ripped yaesu from wmmt5 and it's not so bad.

Maybe i missed something? i really dont know but would be greatful if you could get this open?

Okay been a while as life gets upto well LIFE... The Pajero Evolution IS NOT found in other games. hey there, for converting stuff from wmmt5 you just need to get the 3ds max pluggin for Pokken(.nud), it basically handles namco geometry files, its just as simple as importing each nud to 3ds.... google can help locating the pokken .nud script for max, else is just installing/copy-pasting it on 3ds and manually sorting the files...
