Sorry man, the tools are not working... In the selection window I can't double click BF2 or I didn't put the folders properly but i don't know what the problem is. It says dumping files,,, 0 files dumped succesfully and it just stays there. do you have any tutorials for Battlefront 2?daemon1 wrote:UFBE 0.2 released!
Changes:
- Support for: Battlefield 1, SWBF1, SWBF2 (alpha, beta and full game)
- chunks will have long lowercase names, so all previous tools will work
- fixed crash if some CAS files are missing
- added resource types for BF1
You need to delete all files from tool folder, otherwise it will crash.

Dumped BF2 with the new tool.
Now having problems converting the audio. Using the BF2 audio decoder on page 2.
Just stuck at :
>>>
XAS1 dll detected.
EASpeex dll detected.
EALayer3 tool detected.
>>>
And then nothing happens.

the new tool is putting EBX into "bundles" folder, without "ebx" inside, as its how its supposed to be.JohnMadden wrote:Dumped BF2 with the new tool.

Re: Frostbite model tools (Battlefield 1, Battlefront 1, 2)
If you don't mind could you include a tutorial for converting audio files. Thanks in advanceo0Crofty0o wrote:Here's a very ultra thorough tutorial about archive extraction using UFBE: https://sta.sh/02dc32j9pq4 (3. to 7. is the main part)
I hope this is newbie proof, if not tell me and i will change stuff. There's no link references in that specific one because it will be part of this: https://sta.sh/04jxcv9d9o0 , a set of tutorials so really everyone should be able to extract stuff on their own and fix most common problems when using models.
Re: Frostbite model tools (Battlefield 1, Battlefront 1, 2)
I'm trying to extract the audio files for Kylo Ren's lightsaber.
I run the script 'fb3decoder.py' from swbf2_sounds.rar to do this.
My script appears as follows:
Everything appears to be working OK when I use F5 to run the script:
But at the end of it, it just gives me a prompt and gives me no status.
Nothing happenes after this:
and as you can see, the folder remains empty, sadly
Any ideas, or help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: Frostbite model tools (Battlefield 1, Battlefront 1, 2)
are there chunks in chunks folder? with lowercase names?
Re: Frostbite model tools (Battlefield 1, Battlefront 1, 2)
There was no chunks folder.
I didn't extract the chunks, but I just started to extract all chunks, which I assume is going to be a while.
The filter doesn't quite work for chunks due to the names being pretty random.
Is there a better way to just extract the chunks that I need?

Sweet, after extracting all the chunks from the game, I was able to successfully extract all the lightsaber sounds from the game.
Thanks for the advice daemon.

Would just like to note that this dumper was far more complete than the previous. Several thousand more audio files were properly made. Mostly to do with the audio in the planets folder, some additional vehicle effects were added this time like the Resurgent SD.

Re: How do i convert files
Here is basically everything you need. Blender is a free and pretty small program and from it you can just export to .fbx to open it in other software.GM000 wrote:How can I convert the game files: .MeshSet and .Texture, to files like fbx/obj/maya and jpg/dds/png ? Plz I need help
