Someone actually did some reverse-engineering work on the .chunk files if I'm not mistaken, where he posted a pic of a flamethrower ripped from the game.

Oh and huge props to Blackbird88 for continuing on my Dualshock buttons mod too. I never knew that Bondi left over a feature where loose assets can be loaded for as long as they're in the proper folders:

Hello, can anyone tell me how to extract audio (to get .wav or .mp3) and how to extract textures and models to use with 3DS? I'm a noob so help will be greatly appreciated : )

Well i needed some audio files from L.A. Noire and i found it quite difficult to search for one specific track in like a few thousand audio files.

Soooo i made a little tool to make the process of converting all FSB and renaming the files (remove leading/trailing "1_", "_1" or ".wav.mp3" and such) just 2 mouse clicks. It's basically just a small frontend for the fsb converter tool.
