Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
i found the voices ingame, but it has a XWS file extension (just like NG3, but are not the same)
here is a example

my question is, how can we extract those files?

Are b0ny's Blender importers gone? The links seem dead.
There's a mirror here but they seem old https://sourceforge.net/projects/team-n ... rce=navbar

Damned ! I thought the PS4 game structure was already known. Projects will have to wait.Darko wrote:There's no way to get PS4 files yet.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Vita models are extractable.
I was able to get a model imported into Blender using the TMC Importer, but there are some snags. The Noesis script does not work, and even with what I figured out there are still some index issues similar to our old console starfish problems. Something is misaligned with the indices.
Here's what I know so far. The vertex & index data blocks are now inside a .tmcm file, and it looks like that is all that is in there. In order to make it function like the PC format I moved each of those blocks into the VtxLay & IdxLay respectively. Local position offsets needed to be updated as well as the overall location offsets and file length of course. That at least arrived at the above result. My guess is one of two things. Indices are altered either in the MdlGeo/ObjGeo and may need some tweaking or I still somehow screwed something up which is of course a possibility, but I did verify all of my address updates.
So if anyone more knowledgeable of the file from a structure standpoint has a chance to take a look at them, you might discover what I'm missing.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
That really is an amazing news.
Never imagined that it's possible to get doax3 data from whatever it is.
*******************
it is pretty much inevitable, but
it seems that vita version definitely got low-poly version of modeling

I was looking forward to converting them.

It can be possible to use that .mpm motion data file in DOA5 PC.
doutoku figured out how to modify mpm file and now it is possible to import them in Blender through his tool.
But yet no one but doutoku tried that tool seriously.

Re: Dead or Alive series formats and tools
Yeah, it is a bummer that they are low poly, but it's better than nothing until we see the PS4 resources made available which I still suspect will be a while.
Animation is a tough bit as it is, so perhaps it was too intimidating. I don't know anything about the motion data. The only advantage I see out of the X3 stuff is to possibly simulate some of the soft engine animations or replacing the paradise stuff especially if his tool already allows free form animations.
