Yep. MDA is currently busy and I think he's still working on a fix for the tool due to what happened recently, but I do hope this game will get its own support as well
Also, I played a little bit and noticed the hair looks different from Unity... it seems like they switched back to standard meshes (I might be wrong), which is great

Re: ARchive_neXt
Hi, not sure if anyone can help me here, I've been lurking this topic / and the forum for about 3-5 months now. Basically, I'm trying to find the Paris buildings, so far, I've had no luck, I'd like to export the cafe theater, along with all its textures, if anyone could help, I'd really like that.
Recently, I tried to export Arno's desk, from his room. I couldn't find VIL_Int_WoodOak_01_Set, I checked everywhere within the game files, doesn't seem to exist.

Re: ARchive_neXt
If it's anything like the previous AC files (I haven't checked Unity yet) then you'll basically be looking for the parts/elements that make up the cafe (Walls, floors, ceilings, tables, chairs, counter, etc...) and will have to assemble it back into the building you want. It doesn't exist as a single mesh. This gave them a lot more flexibility when designing/building the city.mikemanj2 wrote:Hi, not sure if anyone can help me here, I've been lurking this topic / and the forum for about 3-5 months now. If I'm right, you will also have to look inside the unnamed data blocks (usually named something like Cell00195_DataBlock) and look for the meshes inside those. Not all of the data blocks have names, and unnamed ones tend to have a lot of the game's data in it. If you STILL can't find it, then open Options->Preferences, and uncheck Show Only Known Files. This will unhide a lot of unknown file types. (although this shouldn't be needed for models & textures.)
Hope this helps.

Eventually, yes. MDA has stated that he wants to fix the false virus warnings for his downloads first, but then he'll continue his amazing work.pewposterous wrote:Would archive_next bet getting updated eventually for syndicate? Honestly, if the code was on Github or Bitbucket, I would try to help him out, but he's been keeping his code close to chest, so to speak.

Re: ARchive_neXt
To the gentleman who told me to look through unknown files, thanks for trying. I looked through just about every file I could and there's no mention of VIL_(examplehere)_(Examplehere)
The /only/ place I've seen any mention of VIL is Paris_assets, and I can't find everything there, say I was looking for one thing specifically; VIL_INT_WoodOak_01_Set, I can't FIND it anywhere, why is there not a search function, or some sort of filter I could apply?
EDIT: As far as I've gathered, the 'Set' part on the end isn't the actual name of the texture, and I /have/ found 'VIL_INT_WoodOak_01'
The issue is however that I've been using the Texture Set part of each asset to locate the textures, and the asset (VIL_Interior_LM_Desk_ArnoRoom_LOD_0) only lists one texture (VIL_INT_WoodOak_Set), how the hell do I figure out what other textures It's using? I've been at this all day, categorizing and sorting thousands upon thousands of objects with their assorted textures. So far I managed to get ONE chair textured, the assets just simply don't tell you all the textures that are required.
I have managed to get a screenshot of an asset using part of the desk's texture ingame. I've outlined what part.

I don't know if i understood your problem, but if you can't find that texture in the forge files, ripp it directly from game. If you don't know how to do that send me the save game.mikemanj2 wrote:To the gentleman who told me to look through unknown files, thanks for trying. TexMod was my method for the previous games, doesn't work with Unity, I don't see how sending the save game would help either, since this is just at the Cafe Theatre, which everyone gets.
My save game loads me infront of a mission 600 meters away.
But you could just tell me your method to rip the textures from the game?

Re: ARchive_neXt
you can use Ninja Ripper 64bit or 32bit.. it depends what version Unity is.. till now i ripped all AC games with that tool, so i think you will be able get your textures.mikemanj2 wrote:fil1969 wrote:I don't know if i understood your problem, but if you can't find that texture in the forge files, ripp it directly from game. Re: ARchive_neXt
I'm 99% sure even with my save game you'll struggle to find the texture, but if you find it on yours, send it to me, check any of the high cabnets in the cafe theatre, on the second floor, in the rooms that aren't walled with brick, the panels of these cabnets should be decorated with wooden carvings, and that will be the texture I need. I've tried using Ninja Ripper, either it does NOTHING ingame, or it wont even start.you can use Ninja Ripper 64bit or 32bit.. it depends what version Unity is.. till now i ripped all AC games with that tool, so i think you will be able get your textures.

Re: ARchive_neXt
Would you consider adding any support for console versions? or console games that use forge like Just Dance3?

Re: ARchive_neXt
Once again Google has falsely labeled ARchive_neXt as malware. Downloads are currently suspended, and you may experience the "Red Screen of Internet Death"TM when visiting my site until Google processes my review request.
In other news:
AC:Rogue -- I believe I have support finished for this game, just need to test a few things.
AC:Syndicate -- This game has become my worst nightmare. "Why?", you might ask. Well, with this game, Ubisoft has elected to split the texture maps into two separate files (one is the top mipmap, the other is the remaining mipmaps). Not only is the top mipmap now a separate file, but it is also contained within a separate datafile. This would all be well and good if we were already using the alternate load method I have been working on, but we're not. Of course, this means we may be forced into using that alternate load method which I haven't finished yet.
Rainbow Six: Siege -- Someone asked me if I could add support for this game. Even though I don't plan on buying it, I was able to download the open beta version prior to the game's release. I will be adding support based on those open beta files. If anything has changed now that the game has been released I won't be able to make any changes.
I would like to thank everyone that helps out answering questions others have asked here. You guys have been on the ball and getting to them before I see them.

As much as I would love to try... No. Mainly, due to the fact that I don't have access to any of the console games. Sorry.planedec50 wrote:Would you consider adding any support for console versions? or console games that use forge like Just Dance3?
