Anyone managed to get the localization texts out of UI.BIG/BIX yet?

The texts are located in "UI.BIG/Data/UI/Localization/". Problem is, you can't actually do anything with them.

Yeah, I know that, because I translated the original Sleeping Dogs to Hungarian a while back, but in Definitive Edition a lot of files were changed and Ekey's program doesn't support it anymore. That's why I asked :D

The .bin unpacker only works for XML .bin files.

You need to edit the files with Notepad.

I'm pretty sure ekey never released it, and repacking big files is impossible.

Yup, this is the kind of frustration everyone has to deal with. No wonder nobody wants to mod the game.

Woah, that was unexpected! Thanks man!

Just out of curiousity, were there any changes made? I notice the version number is different.

Nothing special. I did some changes for work with BIG files on different platforms. Also some functions moved from library in main executable.

Note: If someone preserved my old logger, re-upload it please.

I got it right here. And here's the ASLR thingy.

And also, do you think it would be possible to look into the 5 unknown files unpacked from Characters.big? If those are fixed/identified we'll finally be able to make real mods!
I've tried many times myself but to no avail.

Thanks! It's not for me, just for public because links are dead.

There are no actual mod tools. And there never will be any because I don't know anything about file formats and other people don't care.
