Hi folks. Does anyone have a hash update from some time in the past six or so months?

You can use the NodeViewer to see some file names and you can find others in index.xml and other various extracted xml formatted files.
*.gr2 files have *.mat file names and those have texture file names. SWTOR fan says area.dat files are a great source of file names.

I'm not a programmer and don't have any specialized tools to work with like Rick and SWTOR fan, so everything i do is manual.
This is what i tried based on the replies throughout this thread
-if you see a file name that you know is part of a recent game update, copy it into a txt file with the path starting with /resources
-launch EasyMYP
-go to Dictionary>Test Full Filename List and browse to your txt file
-you will get a message if a new name was found
-close EasyMYP
-if a new name was found it will be added to the hashes_filename.txt

Example
launch NodeViewer and expand "ami" then click on "head" and scroll through the rightside window
eventually you will find head_selkath_bmn_non_a02.gr2 which hasn't been found by current hash lists
copy this into your anyname.txt file:

Code: Select all

/resources/art/dynamic/head/model/head_selkath_bmn_non_a02.gr2
launch EasyMYP, i like to call it TORexplore :D
go to Dictionary>Test Full Filename List and browse to and select your anyname.txt file and wait
you have just found 1 new name if using the last updated hash list :)
close EasyMYP and it will add the new name to the hashes_filename.txt and also formatted correctly with hashes.
now you can launch EasyMYP again and open the tor archive and extract the file with name

AceWell, thank you for that info! I've managed to identify all the decoration icon names (yay, 84 new names for the list). I know what folder most images I'm concerned with are located in but is there a way to be sure that's the correct folder?

Thats awesome thanks! :D I'm new to finding names, i realized the guys that were doing it before may not come back for lack of interest so we'll need to figure it out ourselves. Like Vindis was saying earlier, much of it is guessing. The folder structures have already been discovered and are consistent with tor archives of similar content. I think its okay to say at this point any new game files will fall into these known locations, but there is always a possibility of things being changed by the devs.

Edit
It looks like the devs are making file changes for the KotFE expansion according to swtor_miner on Twitter.
https://twitter.com/swtor_miner/status/ ... 96?lang=en
The patch size for #SWTOR #KotFE is likely to be 15GB+ due to them altering a ton of the data formats.
They switched area files from a text format to a binary format.
It broke part of my filename finder. @Swtor_Potato and I are wondering if they integrated code from a newer heroengine version.
Keep a copy of the old game files before updating to KotFE just in case.

I found this newer version on another of my external harddrives

I have found 35 new texture names while putting together the Havoc trooper armor, these are all for the havoc armor
35_names.zip
these are the gr2 files that make up the havoc armor male body type 2
boot_tall_bmn_archetype.gr2
boot_tall_bmn_heavy_tr_mtx03_cover.gr2
chest_tight_bmn_heavy_tr_mtx03_backpack.gr2
chest_tight_bmn_heavy_tr_mtx03_chest.gr2
chest_tight_bmn_heavy_tr_mtx03_shoulder.gr2
chest_tightskin11_bmn_archetype.gr2
face_trhelmet21_bmn_archetype.gr2
face_trhelmet21_bmn_attachment.gr2
hand_glove_bmn_archetype.gr2
hand_glove_bmn_heavy_tr_mtx03_forearm.gr2
leg_armor03_bmn_archetype.gr2
waist_belt_bmn_heavy_tr_mtx03_back.gr2
waist_belt_bmn_heavy_tr_mtx03_front.gr2

bma = male body type 1
bmn = male body type 2
bms = male body type 3
bmf = male body type 4

bfa = female body type 1
bfn = female body type 2
bfs = female body type 3
bfb = female body type 4

also i'm trying to learn what all these file name designations mean, anyone know these? I gave it a guess
_tr_ = trooper gear
_ge_ = agent gear?
_bh_ = bounty hunter gear
_sw_ = sith warrior gear?
_ss_ = sith inquisitor gear?
_jw_ = jedi consular gear?
_jk_ = jedi knight gear?
_sm_ = smuggler gear?

Yeah, for the names that looks right. JW for Consular/Sage is because originally they were called Jedi Wizard. Not sure about the Agent, but I assume it is also some legacy name.

For the body sizes,

Male:
1 - BMA
2 - BMN (N=normal presumably)
3 - BMS (S=super?)
4 - BMF (F=fat)

Female:
1 - BFA
2 - BFN
3 - BFS
4 - BFB (B=booty or buxom?)

Agent is a tricky one, there a SP one which should stand for Spy, A Pre-Alpha name for Agent, and JW is Jedi Wizard, antoher pre-Alpha name.

You're pretty close with those code translations, but as Wefi said 'sp' is the Imperial Agent designation. 'Ge' seems to stand for 'generic' as it covers a wide range of mostly faction-neutral models - everything from Mantellian Separatists to Dathomiri Shamans.

For the body sizes,

Male:
1 - BMA = Base Male Anorexic
2 - BMN = Base Male Normal
3 - BMS = Base Male Strong
4 - BMF = Base Male Fat

Female:
1 - BFA = Base Female Anorexic
2 - BFN = Base Female Normal
3 - BFS = Base Female Strong
4 - BFB = Base Female Big/Fat (I assume "Big" is used to be polite with woman - they allways get it wrong :wink: )
