I've only seen the folders divided by nation in the /res/content/gameplay folder, which is where the models and textures are. I'll search again in the other directories today.

Btw will you be able to make some sort of model extractor or something if i find you that file? it would be really useful.

The .primitives model format is the same as Tanks/Warplanes. But primitives files are just individual meshes.
You need a specific script to put them all together.
Now that you mention it, there are no .pkg files, the models are located in standard folders. Which is weird because WoWS uses the same engine as WoT and WoWP.

I managed to extract WoWP models just fine despite being separated into multiple parts (wings, tail, fuselage, landing gear, etc...)

The parts just happen to align up.

But, the parts may not align up so nicely for other ships without the main .xml script.
There might be some special node positioning missing.
It looks like there are some missing details, there is another folder, /res/gameplay/common which contains different models like portholes or ropes, classified on folders that correspond to each ship.

I have tried importing the different ship models with 3D Object Converter, but only the bow model of each ship works. The other parts (midfront, midback, etc) were completely messed up or didn't work at all. How did you import those models without errors?

I couldn't find any relevant .xml files, or maybe i did but i mistook them with something else.

About the shared meshes, the /res/content/gameplay/common/misc/ folder contains over 2000 different folders, and additionally inside each nation folder there is also a "misc" folder that contains even more folders

/res/content/gameplay/japan/ for example has a misc folder that contains 3.626 different folders. I have only checked a bunch of them but it seems that inside each folder there are only 3 files (.visual, .primitives and .model) that correspond to a single model, appart from a "lods" folder which contains different lods for that model.

They've used quite an interesting system here, and it explains why some details start popping up a while after the main ship model is loaded ingame in the main menu, it needs to search through all those folders and load the models.

Any other folders you want me to upload? I never worked with the .xml files of WoT or WoWP since 3D object converter was able to load the models just fine. So if you want me to upload any file or folder in particular just ask.

The folder names seem to correspond the main ship models folder, in this case JSD001. I searched for that in the "misc" directory and 11 folders showed up.

By the way, when i try to import any ship part except the bow i get this:

I should be able to at least import the models, but some of them dont work despite being in .primitives format. Do you know why this happens?

Could it be a .json file instead of .xml? A friend of mine told me that it's possible since they are similar. Yesterday i searched for *.xml in the whole WoWS directory but there is no .xml file that "builds" the ship.

And thanks for that tool, i knew about it but i forgot its name so i couldn't find it :D

You could try hex2obj (view link in my sig):
