About the forge files, let me locate them again.
Are you sure that Elise's hairs works?
For me it happens the thing you explained with her hair too

Elise's hair LOD3 works fine it seems http://i.imgur.com/FA4sopv.jpg

Arno's hair LOD3 works too, but eeewwww.... http://i.imgur.com/3R5o5sz.jpg

EDIT: Yeah, seems like all the LOD0/HD hair meshes are not working as standard meshes. They probably used an internal engine or something to render the strands. This means hoodless Arno, Elise and all the other characters can't be extracted properly... pity :\

As far as I'm concerned it is working. That's how Ubisoft designed it. It has to be lighting and shaders that makes it visible in game. This isn't the normal alpha textured hair past games have had.

And this will happen with all the models tagged as "HD Mesh" (soon to be "Hair Mesh").

[EDIT]That's a pretty decent LOD3 for Elise's hair. Generally they all end up looking like Arno's LOD3. :(

IKR? I was kinda surprised to see how different it was! That's why at first I thought it was the HD mesh

Well it's sad for us, but makes sense. The hair in Unity looks more realistic than the previous ones in fact. Next gen power lol.

Weird thing, Assassin Arno has a standard hair mesh for the front part under the hood O_o

Updated ARchive_neXt v1.11.16.1 -- Now Available

Changes:
Fixed issues with some of the character models not being viewable, exportable and/or not exporting properly.
"HD Mesh" has now been re-categorized as "Hair Mesh".
Other numerous minor fixes to things that were broken while trying to fix the character model issues above.

To Do:
Still need to figure out duplicate face index issue. This issue appears to be localized to npc inventory items, and structures. The character model issue from above was caused by absolute/relative face indexing. With this version of the game, there is at least 4 different model formats. While in previous AC games there was only one, even though it had changed sometimes from game to game, each game had only one format in any given forge file.
Still need to figure out the normal map issue.
AC:3 and AC:4 Multi-Player, and DLC forge files are currently not working. In the past I had tagged these as older versions and that had worked to some extent. Need to find a more reliable way of determining the proper format to use.
Prince of Persia has a second model format that needs to be incorporated.
POP: The Forgotten Sands has some issue with duplicating tree nodes.

Known Issues:
When the model viewer throws an error when attempting load a model, you will no longer be able to view any models until you restart the program.

That is all

Found some weapons at the end of "DataPC_extra.forge". Look for the datafiles beginning with "UI_W_"

Sorry, haven't figured that one out yet.

Can't say that I have come across anything as background scenery, but I also haven't looked for it specifically. If I do find something I'll let you know.

I'm just visiting Archive neXt for the first time since you released it and an amazing tool. I'm sorry if I couldn't find the information somewhere else in the thread but are the normal map exports supported. I'd like to try and pull out some of the location models but when trying to parse the textures it doesn't seem to be error prone. Is this not supported yet or is there something I might be doing wrong? I'm trying to pull some of the paris location models out... specifically those for notre dame. Any suggestions?
