Sorry.
I do not understand. Is it possible to import a model horse with animation from the game Red Dead Redemption?
The plugin supports the ability to import an animation?

I know what the problem/bug is now, Noesis does not recurse network paths properly.

MrAdult> i got a problem with mvsc3 plugin (xbox360 .mod files)

i wrote a scipt to load re6 and rehd xbox mod files but it keeps opening the model using the mvsc3 plugin
do you check only the magic header in the plugin ? there is a file mod version in the header , can you check it so that it can execute the script instead of the internal plugin ?

Code: Select all

	idMagic = bs.readInt() 			#	mod file magic
	header_version = bs.readUShort()	#	mod file version

thanks in advance

Is there any chance to support the World Map formats from the PS1 ff games? More specifically 7 and 9 as those have been pretty well documented, whilst 8... not so much (plus Noesis doesn't support most of 8's files, whereas 7 and 9 (9 especially) are really well supported, the world maps are the only untouched things remaining.

Bah, another one who leaves this project as dead as a triceratop's toenail...

Bullshit... And I came here to know if there's any damn progress on ripping models from games like Evolve or the Demo of FFXV. :x

but of course... Xentax and their damn rules for not allowing research for ANY MODEL...
And they stopped posting their weekly progresses on game data ripping researches... another reason I hate this damn page... and I prefer Models Resource page than this.

Screw that Noesis, if Mr Adults prefers to not add any support to any new game from now on.

Then my answer is...

Image

I wanted models like Chop from GTA V (PS3), Sadaharu from Gintama Yorozuya Choobu (Wii), Peepee piranha from Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii), Mega Monty Mole from MK8 (Wii-U)... If Noesis will not help me getting those models. The Behemoths and other creatures from FFXV DEMO (PS3), And all the living creature/monsters from Evolve (PC)... along with a plenty of other models that MUST be researched no matter what... and since here are plenty of people lacking the knowledge to make a plugin for this shitty program, or are too lazy... Then finally it's over... We're condemned... the era of getting models from every game has come to the end... WE'RE DOOOOOOMEEEEEEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cry:

I think you're being overly dramatic...
From your post, you're coming across as if this forum or any of its members owe you something and that they have let you down. I highly doubt that Xentax or any of it's members are stopping you from doing game research. I think you just want to make requests and get fussy when something doesn't go your way.
In case you hadn't noticed, membership to the forum and access to the knowledge within is FREE; the use of Noesis IS FREE! You're using a resource (for who knows what purpose) FOR FREE.
Your post was childish; you'd be doing yourself as well as many others a favor if you adjusted your attitude of entitlement.

This guy en masse is a pretty significant factor in why I don't care about Noesis anymore. Even if he's joking or whatever, he's an idiot.

That, and the codebase is so disgusting that I hate to touch it or look at it. So the personal motivation I had, outside of people being cocks, is pretty dwindled.

What the hell are you talking about?

I'll try to address each of these points individually to see if it helps

1: Rip models from FFXV? From what version? Nobodys managed to crack the PS4 or XB1 yet, so those games aren't exactly able to be opened up in order to get to the formats, there IS no FFXV for PS3, and theres no PC version yet, once there is a PC version it will probably change though.

2: Xentax not allowing research for ANY model? Wait what? Noesis stopped ages ago, there are still new posts daily on file formats and the like, hell look at some of the larger threads like the MGSV modding thread, no Noesis in there. This forum owes a lot to Mr Adults and Noesis but this forum is not FOR Noesis specifically, people have other tools, make their own scripts and so on too. If you really want something in Noesis and have the time to make a big post raging about it then you're in luck, Mr Adults was nice enough to add python support to Noesis so you're free to make your own model plugins. Its not easy but since those who don't do it must be 'lazy' according to you, then maybe you could try and pickup their slack and create those formats.

3: Ripping models from Wii games, if its 100% a thing that must happen then you could always try simply dumping the models from the Dolphin Emulator, unless you're after rigs and animations, in which case that wouldn't help.

Model ripping is far from dead without Noesis, its plugins still work fine, we can still write our own stuff, hell... it even had an update not too long ago, the developer might not make his own file support anymore but its not his job to do so anyway, he was nice enough to share it and what more can you really ask for.

Now with that out of the way I have a minor request, the script for Guild Wars 2 for Noesis no longer works, I'm unsure if its due to an updated noesis or if the script itself has issues but I can't get it to work, it just gives errors, and I'm unable to find a 2011 version of Noesis to test it with (if anyone has one, please share). IF anyone would be interested in taking a look at that, that'd be great, if not, its not a big problem. Unlike the above user we're not all going to stamp our feet when we don't get our way, we're not entitled to it, its a privilege.

lionheartuk: If you send me that GW2 script and some models/textures/etc. I can see why it's failing. It was probably written in a buffer-overrunning way and stopped working when I safe-guarded the index/vertex/etc. buffer inputs from Python, if I had to take a random guess.

Sure thing I'll drop you a PM, so as not to clutter up this thread.
