Turfster, and Lionheartuk, you guys downloaded the game probably for this right? Actually, I bought the game too. It's true however that I patched it so I can use my DVD drive for something else and I don't have to hunt for the damn DVD every time ;) but rather, if someone could help me figure out ...

OK, whoever's working with the MGS2 textures, grab the new build off the site (1.1). Turns out I inverted a height and width parameter somewhere in my code (yeah, I know, I know, it was late ) so non-square textures got fucked up in the previous versions. In other news, I've been making some p...

There is an example of the WHITE lines. Some images have BIG ones and some only TINY ones *edit : it was way too early in the morning when I wrote the original reply* Yes, the white block is alpha stuff, probably for reflectivity ingame. See image (zoomed twice so it's slightly more obvious. Also, ...

Uh, have you checked the alpha channel?

Why does it seem like the textures are smaller and lower quality than they are in the game? Is there some explanation? Notice how the Snake on the right is worse quality? And thats not the real size, I stretched and enlarged it as best I could to show the comparison. The short answer : PS2 textures...

Try my generic file ripper.
I'm pretty sure I could extract the ogg files from silk road without problems (it's been a while tho).

I've started on the 3D models, but the're rather non-standard, so I need to stare at them some more before they make sense. Also, I just got hit with a major deadline at work again, so I think it'll be a while before I can do any real work on it.

Since the thread was necro'd recently anyway, since people have been bugging me about this for ages and since I wanted to take a break from known game formats, I give you the fruits of a few hours work tonight : Solidus v0.5. Current features : - Extracts files from DAR and QAR archives - Converts R...

Have you tried using my file ripper & reinjector (version 2.1, there used to be a small DDS bug in 2.0, if you tried that)?

(Not really about the SB0 files, since I'm still stuck on the damn audio format, but this is the best sort of relevant thread to post this in imho  ) Anyway, I figure it's time to finally release version 2.0 of my POP Toolset . Still can't decode all the music/sound files, but, on the other h...
