So? You did it? Don't need the old scripts?

Re: Frostbite 2 sound extraction research
Sure. Maybe I could recover my stuff on the HDD that keeps beepin' (where all my extraction tools are). But I'll need some extra tools for that. Maybe the next week.daemon1 wrote:I think I can write a script to unpack BF3 again, but first let's see maybe someone has it saved.

Re: Frostbite 2 sound extraction research
That's what I told you. The new script doesn't work at all on BF3 anymore. I don't think that the current .ebx script works on BF3 either. I've lost all my data lately so I don't have the scripts anymore (my HDD is beeping. It must be the head stucked/blocked inside the HDD. So, I consider I've a 50...

Re: Frostbite 2 sound extraction research
All right. I just noticed that the ebx script is missing from OrangeC archive. Someone have it? EDIT: Never mind, you can have it here but I think we need the floattostring.dll as well but I can't find it anywhere. It gives me this error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "H:\BF3SNDS\Scri...

Re: Dead Space Audio File.
I see but, however, your tool ds2_sbk.exe doesn't work on Xbox360 .sbk files I can make it work on them, but unless we can unpack them from .str, its useless. There's no universal method for filenames. You just need to find them or guess them somehow. I was able to do that for sound files, because ...

Re: Dead Space Audio File.
I see but, however, your tool ds2_sbk.exe doesn't work on Xbox360 .sbk files so it's a lost cause because I doubt that many people would help about lzx compression. I'm sorry but I can't deal with compressions. I could help for filenames and .xma files but nothing more.

Re: Dead Space Audio File.
But why do you want xbox .strs unpacked? They probably contain the same sounds as on PC or not? Oh, don't mind that mate. It's just because I always prefered to extract sounds from .xma files because it's pretty easier for me (it's my point of vue of course). I'm just curious to know if you ever mo...

Re: Dead Space Audio File.
I've already done it yesterday. Here http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=10054 is the updated list of files, so all DS3 big audios can be extracted. And here http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12716 I posted a tool to extract all small audio samples. I think its all infor...

My bad. I was using an older version of 7z file manager.merlinsvk wrote:Both archives are OK. Tested it right now (unpacked them with 7zip 9.20 & WinRAR 5.11).

Hi,
The .7z archive for the unpacker is broken apparently. Could you fix that?

Re: Really need help!
I tried your method and it works great, finally got the audio for all the characters! One issue though is that the audio seems slightly higher pitched than it's supposed to be. Is there any fix for that or is it unavoidable? Yeah, I think that's because some sounds have a lower sampling rate (44100...

Re: Really need help!
Alright. I'm gonna try to teach you the technique I use. Maybe there's a better one but my way is pretty simple and efficient (at least for me). Excuse my poor english in advance. First, make sure you have the right tools: _ QuickBMS _ ToWav (for this one, just scroll down the page and click on the ...

Re: Far Cry 4 new interleaved format?
Hi Zench, It's okay. It's just cool that you're aware of that new type of .spk archive (sufficient for me). But I think this variant will be commonly encountered in future Ubisoft games using this sound archive. So, I have confidence that's not the last time you've heard about this problem (by someo...
