Re: XeNTaX 25th Anniversary!

Thanks for the release, guys! I remember coming here back when I played Just Cause 1 to develop a music ripper, but I never got far... Not much history for me as compared to everyone else, but I appreciate the free download! Hopefully in the future I'll be able to contribute to game file research. E...

Re: Electronic Arts .mus/.mpf files

I just wanted to update my findings on this topic: This topic has been a long going one which covers the extraction of MUS files. For my specific project (getting the music from The Godfather: The Game), I downloaded an EA audio & video decoder , then I ran it with the .mus file as a parameter. ...

Re: Electronic Arts .mus/.mpf files

Sorry to bump this, but I would like to second the request for information. In particular for me, I'm trying to extract music from The Godfather: The Game, and according to this website , it was recorded in 48k/24 bit, although trying to import the music archive into audacity results in mostly stati...

I rest my case.
You're misunderstanding what I said there, I meant "the differing formats can make a huge difference, when you actually need to decompress it."

What? I wasn't complaining about decompression time. I would like to see more modding for this game, so a decompresser and recompresser would be nice.

?
As someone stated earlier, the XBOX360 and PC versions have slightly different formats which can make a huge difference come to decompress time. Thus, I would like to keep this thread on topic for PC only.

I'm kind of wondering here, but why to people reply in bursts spaced about a month apart? Anyhow, I would like to keep this thread on topic for PC only. Anyhow, aluigi, does your script support decompression and re-compression? My whole reason for making this topic was so someone could fix the binar...

Re: Request to allow numbers in our usernames

Wait, numbers aren't allowed in usernames? Since when (considering my own username, this obviously hasn't been the case forever...)? Well, I guess that leaves quite a timespan :) Perhaps some sort of new spambot software was released that got around some time of spambot protection, but maybe that s...

Re: Just Cause *.ARC file decompression

sorry i miss read the thread name this was for just cause 2 And I thought this thread was for Just Cause 1? Ya, I guess Rocky5 misread it again. Are you looking for .arc extraction or something else? This is the first time I've written a BMS script. To use, quickbms.exe extract_jc1.bms pc.tab extra...
