the character + skel + anim are in the subfolders called "actor97" every "word-...." folder has this subfolder and you can find them there i think ellie is in common files or sp-common files cant remember. extract them in cmd for example "\>tlou2 ellie-skel.pak /r" the...

No. And i dont think this step was ever required. You dont have to merge anything. so every part of the mesh has its own skeleton and animations ?!! there's one full skeleton for whole mesh, and animation can affect all parts, or just some part, like palms.
