Re: Unpack .AIA animation files
Please disregard my previous post. I figured out what was happening. I verified the .AIA files from "Ys: Oath in Felghana" load fine in Noesis, however, the .AIA files from "Ys Origin" do not. I guess the format is a bit different. The very first post of this thread has a downloa...

Re: Unpack .AIA animation files
Thanks a bunch for this... I downloaded version V4.093, but when I load any .AIA file, it says "Preview mode is not available but would you like to export". When I select yes, no files get created. I ran Noesis as administrator on two different win7 boxes and tried various .aia files but n...

Re: Unpack .AIA animation files
I believe the textures are obscured in some way - either compressed or encrypted. When extracting the YS Origin data (data.ni) archives, the enemy and player sprite sheets are not present in the file structure where other textures are located. However, there is a ANI folder containing many large .AI...

Unpack .AIA animation files
Please help me understand the .AIA/ASO file format common with YS series PC games. I want to get at the .DDS files contained within.
I have placed a sample here:

Thank you.

Re: Help unpacking YS ORIGIN XSEED (PC) archives
Thanks for the link. After unpacking the YS archives, I was not able to locate all the character DDS textures beyond a handful in the MENU folder. I suspect they are embedded in the animation files. Within folder ANI, there is both .AIA and .ASO files. Any info on these? The .ASO file has a header b...

Help unpacking YS ORIGIN XSEED (PC) archives
Any info on the compression/encryption used? Any tools to unpack the archive files in the release folder (data.na, data.ni etc.)?
The data.na file is 1.3gb and houses many RIFF files. Data.ni has a 4 byte header of "NNI " and looks to be encrypted.

Re: Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection PSP (.BIN)
I noticed this too. I can't see it being the decompression though.. every file compressed in the FF4 archive appears to use standard LZSS. It would be strange to deviate but possible I guess... Could it be that these TM2 files are swizzled?
I will play around with it more tonight.

Re: Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection PSP (.BIN)
Here you go: http://netload.in/dateiit9Er8vMgS/FF4LZTX_unpack.rar.htm This version will decompress LZTX (LZSS) encoded TM2 and LSZ files. The header is different for both and so is the decompression offset (weird). The LZS files when decompressed are saved as a TM2 file. Run at parent directory. Asp...

Re: Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection PSP (.BIN)
ugh sorry... It was late and I forgot to change the hardcoded directory. I have uploaded a new version. You should be able to execute this now in any directory and it will traverse down. http://netload.in/dateiHp7hYbkYMS/FF4LZTX_Unpack.rar.htm This program currently only deals with LZTX on TM2 files...
