So what are you expecting here if you don't do either?

The game's a lot more than just playing around with cars...

It's a pretty massive program, and all I plan on doing with it is opening cars from TDU2.

Oh well.

Has anyone investigated the TDU2 rims more? Because there is some rims that don't have textures in the .bnk ive spent so far 1 day trying to figure out where the textures are for those.

For example the Bugatti Veyron SuperSports is missing the textures but has the model files there.

is this what you're looking for?
veyronRim.jpg
hehe, it's easy to lose track of the files if you extract them all in the same folder. extract your rim bnk in its own folder and you'll notice that the textures are not in the rims folder, but in the car folder. in this case: d_\eden-prog\games\testdrive2\resources\5prepared\pc\euro\vehicules\cars\bugatti\veyron_grand_sport\maps\veyron_16_4_grand_sport_2008_rim.2db

Does anyone knows where the global textures could be stored?
In the game the HQ interiors have leathers on them mapped.
But when imported it into zmodeler, it has just dark grey material.
So no leather and no stitches.

Offtopic, Those Atari Jackasses cant do good job on these many many folders.
You have to doubleclick several to get that freaking file, at the end, you didnt found what you want.
It drives me nuts lol

They're all in a file with common car stuff. textures like tire textures, leather, car bottoms, all in there. filename: 3759F594E15AE951.bin

Yep totally agree with the huge paths! lol

Copy the script, paste it in Notepad, and Save it as TDU2.bms

save it as something.txt and then rename it to something.bms... ;) ofcourse you'll need to turn off "hiding known format extensions" in your folder options, orelse it will become something.bms.txt

@vagos21: Nope, that's the gran sport, which has its textures in its BNK, The Bugatti Veyron SuperSports doesn't have textures in its BNK however.

importing the rim with my script didn't show any textures used at the materials
and after looking at the materials file myself with the hex editor, there are no textures used, only a reflection map. so i guess it's plain chrome?

Nope, can't be... Unless eden games are really stupid and think chrome is orange.

Here is the rims in TDU2:

I am guessing there is a possibility that since the Veyron SuperSports is a PreOrder car, maybe when you enter the serial to activate it ingame it downloads some of the other files for it? :?

i just meant there's no texture. could be orange, blue, white, pink, whatever, you pick the color. isn't zmodeler importing the color for your rim?
