Mirrorman95 wrote:Really? How did you get multiple textures to map to the same OBJ in Noesis?
Textures are loaded by material name if they don't get referenced in the source model itself. If your obj model references material "mymaterial01", Noesis tries to load mymaterial01.png, mymaterial01.tga, and so on for every supported image format.

Thank you. That will help. But why can't Noesis view this image? http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/mirro ... g27_03.png

Also, every time I try to view an OBJ or DDS exported from 3D Ripper DX, it says it won't load it. Why is that?

EDIT:
Can I request a function? When you drop a texture over a model and use export from preview, can you make it so it exports the texture mapped to the model. So that when you open the exported model it loads the texture as well.

Also is it a bug, if you cannot edit the Texture value in the "data viewer?"

New in 2.9:

Code: Select all

-Added support for importing FFX models and animations. These would not be here without revelation, who provided a full spec for each. Thanks revelation!
-Added support for FFX disc image extraction. Handles decompression and sorting files into folders. Thanks to revelation once again for the filesystem info!
-Added support for The Bouncer's .tex, .fe. and .sk files. Thanks to shadowmoy for basic info on sk geometry!
-Added support for The Bouncer's bouncer.bin, extracts .bin files recursively.
-Added a "Create device image" option to the tools menu. Uses wnaspi32.dll to create a raw sector rip of the selected device. Will also continue reading beyond the device's reported size, if possible.
-Added model/texture import support for TC:RS .ndp3 files. (skeleton+models+textures supported, but still a WIP)
-Added extraction support for TC:RS .pac files.
-Added T3B .pack model/texture import support. (note: not all .pack files contain model or texture data, and so some .pack files will not be recognized)
-CommitTriangles can now be called with NULL data, which will automatically build an ordered list up to the number of indices given.
-Made CPK extractor handle encrypted UTF data seen in Hyperdimensional Neptunia. Thanks to tpu for posting the decryption routine.
-Added noesisExtTexRef_t with Noesis_AllocTexRefs for plugin developers. External texture reference objects can be attached to materials.
-Added NMATFLAG_TWOSIDED and RPGEO_TRIANGLE_STRIP_FLIPPED for plugin developers.
-Various new primitive types for plugin developers. Some of them aren't correctly implemented, though. If you use one and it doesn't work, let me know and I'll fix it for you.
-This release marks over 100 unique file formats supported by Noesis. Truly, I have too much time on my hands.

Excellent. More Final Fantasy compatibility. I see Revelation is still helping you with PS2 models. Hopefully we'll see a third third-party plugin soon.

I hope he's still going to release the KH2 plugin. I glad he's still making plugins, though.

Edit: Before any one ask the plugin dont work for unleashed 2 models.
Please make sure you have properly decompressed the files for TFU2 before claiming the plugin doesn't work for them. If this is truly the case afterwards, let me know. As they have been tested.

I'll see if i can add decompression for the files as well.

I've been having a reoccurring problem with Noesis. First, it can't view DDS images at all. Second, I cannot load any OBJ that has any "f #/# #/# #/#" lines whose #s are negative numbers. This makes it difficult to load anything in Noesis that was taken with 3D Ripper DX. I tried removing all the minuses from the f lines, but then it only loaded the first mesh and screwed it up very badly. I tried removing 5 of the 6 minuses in each line, but then Noesis only loaded a series of points outlining the model, and P3d0 screwed it up even worse.

Is there a way to fix the OBJ plugin, like to give it a routine that allows it to handle "f -#/-# -#/-# -#/-#" on every f line?
